It's a good thing I didn't buy them. These Seizmik mirrors are a thousand times more effective. The X3 is equipped with a number of features. The cage is 875 inches long. I read the negative feedback from those who were dissatisfied with the 2. Even with shims, the 0 inch model is too loose. I purchased the number one. Rubber shims are included in the package. The rubber shims had to be shaved to fit, but they are extremely tight, unable to move, and hold extremely well. br>br>If you're thinking about getting OEM mirrors, go to a dealer and try them out on a floor model. Backing up is impossible because you can't see your rear tires. They don't have any value. Get these; you'll love them! br>br>.
I had a set in my RZR and they were fantastic. I now own an X3 and purchased the 2" as well as contacting seizmik for the X3 "shim" kit as directed. Seismik, as expected, dispatched it immediately. However, when it came time to put them in, I had to admit that the shim kit solution disappointed me. It's made up of two rubber squares, one thick and one thin with an adhesive back. There are no instructions provided. I tried several different ways to place this rubber and was never able to get a solid one to work; no matter what I tried, the bracket could wiggle around because it's mounted on loose rubber squares. Not to mention that having one of the best-made mirrors on the market mounted on my 35k machine with an 1/8" gap stuffed with rubber didn't seem right. I believe there are enough X3's to warrant the production of the proper size bracket. Guys have been known to use the 1. I'm going to swap these out for the 75 on the X3 in the hopes that it'll be a better fit. It's a fantastic product, but there's no good way to mount it. Update: Amazon returned the 2", leaving me with a set of 1. Orders for 75 are being taken.
These mirrors have a lot of potential for me to like them. On a number of websites, they have a high rating. The warranty is excellent, which is why I decided to keep the mirrors. They are quite sturdy and have a nice appearance (when not mounted). Clamp mounts are a shambles. I placed an order for the 1. 75", thinking they'd fit snugly on the roll bar, but they're actually just oversized clamps with rubber inserts; I wasn't expecting anything like this. br>br>I wanted to mount them low on the roll cage, but the mirrors pointed at a forty-five degree angle due to the angle of the clamp mounts. I was at a five-degree angle to the ground, which looked awful, not to mention the fact that I couldn't see behind me in that position. The mirrors are being installed in the middle of the room. For entry and egress reasons, going all the way up the bars was out of the question, so I had no choice but to mount them high. The mirrors are - in this position. erroneous location - Unless I only want to see the back quarter panel and a distorted degree of area to my rear, this does not allow for good visibility. They're better than nothing, but they don't let you fine-tune your settings very much. Even though the mirrors point downward more than I would like them to (for close quarters parking), I can't see my back wheels. br>br>After installing these mirrors, I have a newfound admiration for the engineers who create automotive mirrors, as having a wide field of view is a highly prized asset in terms of visual acuity and spatial awareness. To make these mirrors more useful, instead of bar clamps, the company should offer roll bar mount plates that bolt on using existing roll bar assembly bolts, as they do for another brand of UTV. I believe that someone could get a better view of the back and provide a more rigid mount. br>br>On the basis of the clamped area and field of view, I'm not overly impressed with the mirrors. I would give it a much higher rating if it were based on the quality of the workmanship, materials, and warranty, but three stars is enough for now.
I finally found a mirror that I could squeeze between my windshield and the roll bar (Honda P1000 with glass windshield) and it was a good product. Although it is a nice, well-made mirror, it does make items appear to be further away than they are (as do most mirrors). Overall, I was very pleased with the mirrors and the effort it took to mount them. The mount is very firm and will not drift out of adjustment, but it does take a little effort to set them up for the first time. To mount and/or adjust, you'll need a larger metric hex wrench (probably 8mm).
I'm not fond of the mirror's convex surface. The perspective is distorted. I would have preferred a plain, flat surface similar to your car's. I require a precise view to know how far away I am when I need to back up to something. However, these mirrors are extremely well-made and of excellent quality. And now for the important information: Yes, it'll fit a Polaris Ranger 1000 with a glass windshield from 2021. To get the brackets on the windshield, you may need to open the clasps and pull it out a little, but the windshield will snug back in tight and everything will be fine.
It" is "worth-it," and these mirrors are "worth-it. " it". For my new 2018 Polaris Ranger XP1000 with pro-drive, I did a lot of research on mirrors. fit cab. These are pricey, but in my opinion, they are well worth the money. The weight and sturdiness give you a sense of quality. They are simple to install and come in a variety of colors that are weather-resistant. Matching seal caps for your ATV/UTV. The color red was mine. They are securely mounted to your ATV and do not wiggle or vibrate once installed. They have a sporty look to them (especially with the color insert seals), and the fold-out design is practical. The in feature is a fantastic feature that I'm sure I'll use many times as the riding season progresses. If you haven't heard of the fold-out table, it's a great way to start.
