Over the years, I've had quite a few of these. They're pretty straightforward and keep your kickstand from sinking into the asphalt (or stone, mud, or whatever) where it's parked. I keep one in my saddlebag at all times. I ordered a few of these to keep at my business during the summer (as I do most years). This batch has a soft texture. All of the ones I've had before are made of a hard plastic that allows the kickstand to slide in easily. These are made of a softer rubbery plastic, and the channels that should guide the kickstand instead collapse under it, making it difficult to line up. As a result, they are beneficial in some ways but inconvenient in others.
Protects flooring from kickstand marring on more delicate surfaces, such as tile or laminate in my case, at a great value price. My motorcycles are parked in my lounge, and these pads perform admirably for the purpose for which they were created. The only drawback to this kickstand pad is the price. This pad's plastic is softer than the Harley Davidson kickstand pad, for example.
Plastic was used to distribute weight on every kickstand pad I've ever owned. These are made of a rubber that is extremely flexible. Why? The word "plastic" appears in the description. —- These will work for me because I'm protecting a garage floor coating with them. I wouldn't trust these on grass, asphalt, or other hard surfaces, especially since rubber softens in the sun. —- I'd return them if it weren't for the fact that I needed them this weekend. I wouldn't put my trust in this - or a vendor - again.
The pad is made of a soft material that would not be able to support the weight of my Harley FLSTC. The pad was pressed down and into the asphalt of my year-old driveway, causing a deep divot in the asphalt, which was exactly what I was trying to avoid! In no way would I recommend this product.
I only wish the bottoms were rubberized. I'm going to try and paint the bottom with a rubberized paint. And see how long that lasts. Otherwise, this is a "good buy" that is significantly less expensive than a "Harley. ".
After just one use in the grass, my HD Road glide bent. It's a good thing my bike didn't tip over.
I bought this for my ultra classic and it deformed horribly after the first use, with the center caving in to the point where it was unusable. For some reason, it is made of rubber. I went to the Harley-Davidson store and bought one for $6 made of hard plastic. THIS ITEM SHOULD NOT BE PURCHASED.
