I couldn't fit mine on Those bolts are too short. I will need to decide if I want longer bolts or if I want to There is no doubt that the KLX400 is the same motor as the DRZ400, but I doubt it is the same motor for the KLX300. Doing some more research would be helpful. You are in my best wishes.
As long as it is a Suzuki KLX 400 model, it will work. The mounting bolts on my unit were too short, so I had to buy longer ones. Not a big deal, but still a consideration. Buying cheap aftermarket parts seems to cause this to happen quite often. I used it on a rocky ride in the Sierras, and it saved my side case. If I had to buy it again, I would. Dear Sir/Madam

The 2002 DR-II was fitted with this system *Pros include There is no cracking in the plate, welds appear to be solid, and you can place holes accurately. That's good that I haven't yet broken anything because I haven't hit it hard enough. The cons are When I hit the foot brake and gear shift, I experienced a little interference from the little wings that come up the sides of the engine case. My foot sometimes gets hung up on the edge of the skidplate if there is a crooked edge to my foot. The skidplate ended up looking pretty good after a bit of grinding, but you could probably improve it a little with a little nuance in the side contours.
