However, getting someone to help you will make it easier to install. As I had an ill wife, I did not do that. You can raise it with something so it is the right The 2x4 is attached to the box with two 2x4s. My attention then turned to the top bolt. Once it was setting at the right location, I started working on it. When dealing with this alone, you would need one of those flexible tools, such as that shown in image You can feed it from the front after bending it into a U shape. In order to tighten the screw, you need to get that top bolt in place first. You will not be able to reach behind the screw. To do it, you will also need a flex and a hex. In my experience, the top doesn't line up properly when I put the U bolts on first. It is recommended not to tighten the top all the way since you may have to move it around. It is sobering to realize that you will have to get between the wire running down the frame and the frame itself to get the U bolts out. Once you have the wire centered, you will need to squeeze the engine guard so it fits over both ends of the U bolt. Once that is done, you can put on the juts and slightly tighten them. Apply the same process to the other side as well. Finally, tighten everything up. Having a bike parked on the floor while the install is done by a single person is quite something. There are a lot of challenges. This is possible, but not easy. Having a bike lift will make it easier, and if you have a friend to hold it in place it will make it simpler.
well and looks great. It was easy to install after I removed the decorative chin spoiler on my 2009 Dyna Fat Bob CVO. As a result, the bar depends a bit more on the strength of the bolts at the top, and I wish the fit was tighter at the top. It will probably need a small wedge shim or something to make sure it fits. This part is sad for me I wish I'd noticed some discoloration earlier than it took for me to notice it. There was probably nothing behind it at the time I got it, but maybe it appeared afterward. Whatever the case, I noticed it a few days after my return window had What a bummer.
It is nice to have a chrome exterior and installing it is easy, but it feels light and does have some flex. Despite being difficult to install, it has turned out to be very nice. Hope I won't find out, but I don't know if this thing will be able to withstand a lot of damage.
