That is something I am not familiar with. The glue on some tanks made of plastic is difficult to apply. My first step in the test would be to clean a spot on the outside of the tank and do a test on that spot if I were to obtain the kit. The stick has a good chance of sticking. It's like a two-sided cling film. If you can't pull it out or scrape it off, then I'd didn't want to gamble with the kit, I might also try sanding a spot where the leak is and then cleaning that spot well. This might also be a good place for Epoxy. This is what I would use to repair the tank from the outside if it were impossible to remove it with major work. I hope this works out for you.
There is no charge for this since it is a gas tank repair

On this site, there are some wrong reviews saying you get 1 gallon of sealant There is no need for that. A pint of beer is provided to you. You receive a direction sheet with a lot of clarity and is a good idea. I soaked the tank with Vinegar prior to installing the kit, and then hooked up a system to rock it using a ratchet strap looped over a stand. I did that several times an hour while working in the shop, and then allowed it to stand Once the tank had been cleaned, I would come in the morning and turn it for the remaining days until after a week, it was completely clean. vinegar did a better job than the cleaner that came in the KBS kit at cleaning. In this kit, I used the cleaner and BBs in a second tank. Cleaning products like 409 or other dry commercial cleaners contain sodium hypochlorite, a sodium hypochlorite relative. A rinse of the kit-cleaned tank and a spray of zinc phosphate followed, after which I turned the tank around so its whole surface was exposed for three minutes, followed by five minutes sat down. This was done 12 times so that each side could be clean and soaked twice. It took almost 2 hours to dry the zinc. When it was done I emptied the tank and rotated it until no more zinc came As soon as this was completed, I used a heat gun to gently dry the tank, and I let it sit for two days in an air conditioned room with a low humidity level. making sure the tank was dry, I poured in the sealer and rotated it on a timer for 3 minutes, then rested it for 5 minutes, allowing fluid to rest on each side of the tank. The tank was rotated six times so either side could be balanced on the tank. After the rotating was finished, I poured off the remainder into the can and found I still had more than half the container The sealer was brushed on all but one side of the tank from the can, so that the whole tank was completely covered. There is a nice coating on both inside and out that makes it feel like glass. My hope is that it will last!.
I really like the appearance of the kit and the instructions are very detailed. I discovered only a slight downside to this process -- it takes a great deal of time and effort, and my fuel tank mounted in my bed is very heavy, so it was quite difficult to swish around, rinse, drain, and otherwise rotate the tank to get Nevertheless, these issues were my own and did not seem to be due to the manufacturer. We used it on a slightly larger than recommended 30 gallon auxiliary fuel cell and ended up with a lot of surplus fuel. If you connect your tank's fuel supply hose to an inline fuel filter, I strongly recommend it. It should at least cover the first couple of tanks. As a result of that, mine collected several flakes of residue from the overflow The full coverage of every inch in my tank intoxicated me. A couple of tanks later, everything runs as clear as a bell. Up to date There have been about 3 months since the purchase, and everything seems to be holding up well. My auxiliary tank has handled more than a dozen fuel tanks and it still looks and functions like new. In the near future, I will use this product to coat other tanks.
As happens after I order it, I cannot cancel this one. I ended up finding it through another company with delivery that would be good for the weekend project. I went to cancel after ordering it and it was not possible. Although it seems odd considering everything is so behind right now, there is no need to worry as we are so used to making returns. The item cannot be returned, so you can't return it. There is probably no way to cancel it. I feel like the product is good, although the company is kind of fishy. It won't take long for any of these tank sealants to prove themselves so I must admit that I have a pretty empty first impression.
In general, this is a good item, but bubbles can be seen in tiny We recommend letting the mixture dry completely before taking everything out. Its thickness made it easy to climb the interior baffles despite being made from costed plastic. The take up was coated with oil by my little brother after being shaken. It was way too heavy to carry 14gal of gas. Additionally, there was so much left over after coating that it is more than enough for a tank of that size.
As I work on restoring a 1924 Model T, I have found a new love. An old rusted tank got a new lease of life using this product. Depending on how I went through each step and how much time I had, it could take a couple of weeks. I see no signs of wear or tear inside the tank.
After my Baja bug sat for a season, I noticed a lot of rust! There was so much of it in the custom fuel tank that it eventually plugged on one weekend out. I don't believe the fuel filter, I believe the This is SO. We had to get out the tank, which was a bit tricky because it was behind the back First I used lots of hot water and simple green, then water mixed with pool acid diluted with a quart of vinegar to eat away the rust. I just want to make Once I followed the instructions, I proceeded as directed. In my 10 gallon tank, about half of the sealer was used (I put all of the sealant in the tank, but then poured about half of it out after coating it. Make sure to follow the instructions to the letter. In any case, some 4 years after I began, I could not be happier. The problem isn't there, there is no problem. The tank works perfectly and is perfect for this application!.
Buying is not a good idea. Exactly as instructed, I did what I was asked to do. There was nothing wrong with the interior of the fuel tank. I then drove my car and noticed that it began running poorly. Taking off the fuel filter revealed a large amount of debris in it. After that, I removed the tank from the wall and drained it. The coating in the tank was available in full length sheets. Right now, there is an issue with the fuel tank. For a new one, you'd need to pay $660. My pictures of the inside aren't great, so I'm not able to post them. The sealant sheets can be seen in a few places. A tank I own would not be subjected to this treatment. If it's dirty, I'll just clean it out and make sure the fuel filter is always clean.
There are good instructions that accompany this product that make it relatively easy to use. One word of advice In the process of removing the tank, I discovered three more leaks that I might have overlooked. When you have to cut your deck to remove the tank, you don't want to overlook any spots, especially after having to fiberglass everything back together. I'd like to strongly recommend you take the time to watch these three videos available on this manufacturer's site. It is expected that the Fuel tank will last longer than I will. The material is supposed to be adequate for a 25 gallon tank, but my tank is 33 gallons, so I had plenty on hand to complete the task.
