What is the mechanism for the gas to escape from this cap? I have one, but it isn't able to vent. Isn't it supposed to be a place where you can let off steam?

The breather cap allows it to escape. If you shake the vent tube on the gas cap, you should hear a rattling sound (the ball in the top of the breather tube is unseen).

Is this compatible with the new Raptor 700 base model for 2018?

I'm not sure if it'll fit, but it's still in my possession. It was supposed to fit my Yamaha 450R, but it didn't. You may have it if I am capable of doing so.

Is this compatible with the special edition Yamaha Raptor 700 for 2019?

The Raptor 700 SE will be able to use it.

Is this going to be the base model for the 2020 Raptor 700?

It's a 2017 Raptor Se, and it's perfect for me.

I really like this cap, and it's in a reasonable price range. This is a perfect fit for my Yamaha Raptor 700 R from 2007. I ordered two caps and one of them arrived without a breather hose, so I contacted the seller and they quickly shipped me one! I would strongly advise anyone who is on the fence about purchasing this product to do so!.

It looks great, feels great, and is a lot easier to remove than the original plastic one. I bought it for my 2006 Raptor 700r and am very happy with it.

The fuel cap is excellent, and the price is reasonable

For my 2019 Yamaha Raptor, this is a great fuel cap. The fit and finish are excellent, and the blue color is a little unusual but not too off-putting. I would recommend it because it works really well.
