There was no need to make any changes for my son in 2013. For 2017, I have no idea.

First and foremost, they fit, so I still gave them a five-star rating. They look good (I'll upload some photos), they're low profile, and my GSXR is all black, so the black sliders serve as camouflage on my bike. br>If you're on a 2020 (I can't speak for other years), the installation will not be exactly as described in Shogun's instructions. br>Because the sliders are recessed into the plastics more than they show/describe, you'll need to drill a much larger hole. Because the slider isn't perpendicular to the plastics, you'll need a Dremel or another grinding tool to make the hole round. It wasn't too bad; all it took was a little time, patience, and care. If you're riding a 2020 and don't want to mutilate your plastics, don't have or want to buy a Dremel, or don't have the patience to grind out a little at a time - Get the kit that does not require any cutting. br>Buy them if you're willing to go through all of that. I'd buy them again if the opportunity arose.
I installed them without issue on my 2019 GSXR 750. Keep in mind that you'll need a torque wrench to properly torque them to your bike's specifications. There are no instructions, and they want you to go to their website to get them, just like every other company. However, their website was not functional. You have a friend in YOUTUBE. You will not be disappointed if you purchase these.
The one question I had was answered by YouTube. It took me about 40 minutes to put this outfit together. br>br>I know sliders can save a bike because I went down two weeks before Sturgis a few years ago. They only left me with a few scratches and a twisted lever. A new lever will set you back $100. That trip could have been saved if it hadn't been for the sliders.
These were purchased for my 2018 GSXR750, and I specifically requested the "Carbon Fiber" version. It had the plain back with two plastic rings for the carbon fiber when it arrived. I intend to return them and replace them with a higher-quality pair; the carbon fiber version is not one I would recommend.
I'm not sure if I should be pleased with this or not. I can't help but think that if the right frame slicer had been a little longer like the left, it would have done a better job of protecting my bike.
On my 2015 GSX-R1000, I installed these. R750. It was a breeze to set up. Remove the fairing, remove one bolt, and reinstall it. You'll need some blue thread locker, which isn't included in the kit. Because it bolts on using the engine mount bolt holes on each side, you'll need a torque wrench. They didn't come with instructions, but you can download the installation PDF from shogun's website. The build quality is excellent, and they look great. I'd give them five stars if I knew how well they worked. I'm hoping I won't find out.
Overall, great sliders. It doesn't stand out on the bike and is barely noticeable. Because it does not come with installation instructions, I am docking one star. The reason for this is that torqueing your bolts to factory settings is critical!.
This combination is appropriate for the year 2018. Fairing on the left side is a little tight. The only serious problem is; THERE ARE NO INSTRUCTIONS! Never mind that it's just a piece of paper!.
