I placed my order for these quite some time ago. It's a pair, if my memory serves me correctly. The item is made up of two parts and a spring. I hope this information is useful.

Yes, it should take about two minutes, but make sure you put the spring in the right place.

It was the ideal match for my awning. However, due to the spring, putting it together by myself was a bit of a challenge, but once I figured out the best course of action, the second one went in much more smoothly.
Installs quickly and performs admirably.

Everything is as it should be. As it should, the arm is locked. It met my requirements exactly as it should have.
The perfect match for my A Awning model E 8500. I'm so glad they sold replacement parts for this awning instead of the entire metal slider arm.
When I first got my travel trailer, one side of the awning was missing this lock, which was a factory match, not an aftermarket replacement type that didn't always fit as well.
It was used to replace a broken awning clasp. br>It was simple to install. br>Plastic, but I'm not sure how long it will last.
