The flip is right. The finish isn't really matte, but neither is it glossy, and they don't seem out of place either. It would be great if instructions were better.
These Cobra Black Freeway bars were purchased for my Honda Shadow Aero 750 from 2004. The black color is really sharp and makes it stand out from the chrome on the bike. The directions are pretty worthless, however, so you have to connect the top two brackets to the frame (that come attached in the package, and you have to disassemble 2) You use an existing bolt to connect the bottom two bolts at the bottom of the frame. The top brackets will have to be removed from the frame behind the side reflectors, as well as from around the horn on the left side. You will have to negotiate a little to get it to work, but it will. A 14 wrench and an Allen wrench will be needed for this job, and I recommend using loctite blue on the bolts so that they are

Those pants perfectly fit the 2014 Phantom, which is the same size as mine.
A single scratch did not appear on the rest of the bike thanks to this thing. As a novice, it took me about an hour to install this, partly because there are no photos and partly because I had no idea what a gusset I love it. According to the instructions, you have to take out both bolts from the foot pedals, but I only removed the one closest to the front and the job went well. Went on well once I figured out what the instructions were saying, but it was much easier if I had another person to assist and if the instructions had pictures instead of just text. You don't need to waste time searching through the gobs of wrapping to find the missing bolts, since the 4 bolts are already attached. Anyhow, that will look awesome on the bike. Going to cover the bars in tanned leather just in case they get scratched off because I am pretty sure this flat black will scratch However, that is a really cool deal on a bike with a very mean and aggressive look.

It was fairly easy to install, but the instructions could be more explicit. This saved my bike from damage after I was in a low speed accident with it. These did however bend quite easily when low speed was applied. Another set of these is on the way, since they are cheaper than repairing something on my.
