There is no problem with fitting them. On my 2007 Honda VTX 1300R, there is a seat for one passenger. So far, I have not scraped them on curves as they are a little lower than my floorboard footrest.
My only scrape occurred on my pegs as I was riding on the blades of the dragon in the tail of the vtx 1300c.
The answer is yes. The installation was pretty easy, and I found out the hard way how strong it is.
The 2006 1300S that my wife has needed to be fitted with them had to be muscled onto it. The two of us had to work together. A friend had to push back the left side far enough so that I could get the left bolt started so that I could get the bottom right bolt started, as well as the top I was able to use C- once everything was lined up Clamp on the bottom bolts in order to pull the bars in far enough so that the threads would catch and tie It's very nice to see them.

They are a good product for the price. A better look can be achieved with these larger diameter bars for my Honda 1300 VTX SR, and the install wasn't hard at all. As far as I know, they will not bend if the bike falls over, and this is exactly what they are supposed to do, so I'm satisfied. A high level of quality can be found in the fit and finish. In the case of Cobra, I paid the good money and got what I wanted. They will drag the pavement when making sharp turns, but that is the only downside. It used to be the running boards that scraped, but now it is I don't find this to be a problem 99% of the time, and when they do scrape their bit helps me to learn if I need to extend the turns a little more. Because of that, the bike won't really crash despite it, and I can still make it through the tight turns without any problems. Even if it weren't for canyon racing, this bike isn't a good choice.
The VTX 1300 wheels look excellent on my Honda VTX 1300. They were easy to install and look great on the bike. The bars have a nice girth to them. The new shoes seem as though they belong on the bike and they would offer a lot of protection if they were to fall off. Then I don't have to find out for myself whether or not that is true.
I ordered bars from these guys and they were great, but once I got them I was not able to fit them to my bike, so I returned them for a refund. B**ws, the retailer is great and the bars are top notch.
The kits fit my 2007 Honda VTX 1300 S/R flawlessly. I had to squeeze them in a bit to get the bolt holes to line up, but aside from that they are nicely packaged and fit securely. In the event that I lay my bike and my legs over them, I am fairly confident that they will protect them. As well as looking good, they are.
A great group of people.
