Quality control is lacking in this product, which came so close to being a good product. The mount on this board was almost at a 45 degree angle, although the mount should have been pointed straight down. This was obviously a bad injection. Since I had to pull so hard from the bottom, there is a lot of bending and the mounting system isn't secure. The running board had been pulled so far from the bottom that the rubber had stretched and had misformed the running board. All the other mounts were easy to pull through, the one took longer. They seem like a good product, so I guess I'll see how good their customer service is.
My attempt to install the program ended in a total mess. We got these at a Harley dealer for a bit more money than we paid. It's worth the risk to buy from Harley since they are made in the USA!.
All the knobs ripped when installed, but the fit was good. As well as lubing them, I had them cleaned. The install process was made difficult by this issue. It was hard to pull through one of the nubs because it was crooked. As soon as it was completed. The rest of the group was not interested in lining It would be nice if the quality of these was better. We won't buy from this store.
I bought a pair of rubber cleats that were flimsy to begin with. When I tried to install them using the instructions I found online (use pliers to pull tabs), the tabs actually tore. Although photo evidence of them being tabbed led to a refund, the company did make a complaint and issue me a refund The least we can do is less.
I have an Electra Glide 06 and the product just arrived. It took me about 5 minutes to install each side. We had to remove the old floor board pads for a longer period of time. It took me about an hour after I removed the old rubbers to clean all the mounting holes on the top and bottom, and place dish soap on the rubber, then push In the end, I guided them and gently pulled them through with my hand, and a towel, since it was slippery. They are the kind of product I would buy.
The mounting tangs have a slight distortion. Having been removed from mold too soon. I am satisfied with the fit after lubing. Metal floor board can be worked without breaking tabs if you do not force it. Overall, a good alternative for the price.
Simple to replace the old ones with new Put on a pair of pliers and pull through the tabs If you want the job to go more smoothly, use a lubricant.
I replaced my floorboard inserts with this product. It was easy to install with a little On a 2007 HD Electra Glide, it perfectly matched the holes on the boards.
