They could use a better bracket and bolt. It almost looks like it was pulled straight out of a utility bin at a hardware store. However, the size and quality of the peg itself is excellent. The bracket and bolt are ugly compared to the nice chrome finish on the pegs. Furthermore, the peg can also be stayed upright when folded with the help of a piece of friction plate. There should be a description of what the ring is for, as well as a few instructions. The little metal piece is very important to the whole system and I almost tossed it out with the packaging after searching online for the reasons as to why my pegs would not stay folded up.
The bike is awesome except for the fact that I started getting painful left knees after long rides due to the factory foot pegs' positions. It was an option to buy and install foot control extenders, but I still wanted a crash bar for the bike. These pegs are for the guard I installed when I installed the crash bar. I appreciate their functionality. My first trip using this combination took me and my girlfriend through Michigan over 270 miles. I had no problems with these pegs during my.
It is a great product in terms of both quality of material and how it looks. Foot rests like these are heavy duty and do not move around if they are installed correctly. Using the provided shims and a single layer of Gorilla black tape to wrap around my bars, I was able to improve Despite being stationary, they have not.
When you try to tighten the set screws beyond a lightly snug fit, they will strip. Thread is a must if you want to make this If they are too short, they should be replaced with ones that are longer. In this instance, the peg hinge bolt doesn't even penetrate far enough into the self-closing mechanism It should sit flush on the nut. The diameter was barely bigger than the factory crash bar that these are supposed to fit. Inserts were not available for use. There are no instructions, but it is not difficult to work out how to install it on a first It might be a good idea to have some peel shims on hand to custom fit the fit and make it easier to flip it In its own right, Peg is a heavy object. As far as the attaching hardware is concerned, we'll see if it can last beyond a couple trips.
I ordered foot pegs that work exactly as expected, and I installed them myself fairly easily. The only complaint I have is that it should come with instructions. It took about 20 minutes for them to get used to it. My Harley looks great with this sturdy and attractive accessory.
This is exactly what I was looking for. One of the pegs I had had a long bracket and I could not position them. Since they are right next to the engine guards, these are the perfect places. There is a need for an installation guide. For the bracket to fit around my bars, I had to take it apart. I request that the next version of the bracket has a hinge. Another person stated that the bolts were too short. I am not sure if they are correct. Although I had to bend the bracket so the nut would fit on the bolt, I had to bend the bracket around the bar with a pair of pliers. Then I had to tighten the bolt and the bracket bent more, and the two ends were almost touching.
Five stars would have been easy, but the lack of instructions and sticking to the guidelines kept it from being a five star. I was able to install the mod easily if you are familiar with installing mods, however it may be difficult for those who are new to it. br>I have done it simply, if you need any help, please contact me and I will assist, but you need to be aware of the fact that the clamp will not stay in place, it moves all the time, tried everything, nothing works. Product is good, but perhaps if the design is changed and something stronger is put in place, it could be even better. Thank you, Lucii.
Overall, I am very happy with them, but there are a few minor The pros are I like the way they look (Even the same as For half the price of D Brand, they work perfectly, have a solid feel to them, and do not flop around around the crash bar. They stay securely They were easy to put on and took about 30 minutes. The cons are The pegs do not come with any instructions (which I didn't need anyway), and the Allen wrenches that you get with these pegs are not the right size and are useless for this installation. To use your own tools, you will need them. Give these a try if you are looking for a nice set of highway pegs on a budget.
