I like the feeling of wind between my My only complaint is that the hinge sleeves are scratched up by the pin sticking out of the inside of the hinge. They seem to be working better now that I have used a tube of pvc shrink tube.

I enjoy running off doors, but hanging my foot out only makes it more exciting. Installation is easy, and there is a rubber pad so there is no damage to the surface. The nut should not be threaded on the threads now that people have complained. The nut was threaded on without a problem, however please check your installation by threading it on before completing it. The nut is not necessary in my opinion. There is no movement at all in the foot rest. There are very few gaps between it and the door mount. In spite of the fact that I have used this a lot, I haven't seen a scratch on the coating. The Jeep I have installed it on is a daily driver, and I have been running doors off for about two months now. I am 6'1" and 235 lbs, so this allows me to have a wider range of motion. I have to mention that it looks fantastic as well. This is a product I have recommended to friends in the Jeep club I belong to.
