Amazicha Black Front Axle Nut Covers Cap for Harley Touring Softail 2007-2021

There is not a lot of orange peel in this paint. As I have seen all of these Chinese die cast Aluminum parts on Amazon, I decided to check if the visual quality of the parts would vary between them and some of the machined or CNC milled parts that are two and three times more expensive. Overall, the parts look great! orange peel is not heavy on the paint, and the application of the paint appears to be correct. As far as tool markings are concerned, they come without too much weight. The people I work with are Therefore, I projected the samples into X-rays with the assumption that they would have a great deal of porosity (gas holes) which can later cause defects. In the end, they were very Having bought many of these parts (they all arrived at different times), I plan to thoroughly evaluate each. So stay tuned

As for these axle caps, they fit perfectly on the bike and look great.

After the first cap, I saw the second. The cap is well constructed and looks well at first. However, the second side of the cap has a sloping surface. There are dots all over the place. We'll keep it since it's not worth the trouble to return $12 worth of merchandise. I won't buy it Companies should care more about the appearance of their products or have better quality control, as it's sad when they ship product without thinking about it.

My first purchase of the HD covers was disappointing, because I had to destroy them to take them off when I changed my front tire. HD only provided one set screw for each cover, even though there were two holes in each of them. The screw heads corroded and seized due to water and salt entry into the hole. These are made of aluminum, which is a softer metal and has a low corrosion risk. All six screws in this kit are filled, so all holes are covered. One thing I would have changed would have been to add Put screws in place and secure them. Since I already had blue and red I didn't have to buy any. If you must use red, choose blue since it will not fade over time. It was best to put the covers on and screw them tight, then loosen them just enough so that you can remove them. Following that, I applied an antibacterial solution Keep the threads in the covers from corroding by using a thread sealant. Lastly, I put a thin layer of gasket sealer between the fork and the covers so that no contaminants, such as water or salt, can get inside. Afterwards, I reattached the covers and pressed them snugly against the fork just to ensure the sealing gasket formed a solid When you need to remove the gasket sealer, you can easily do so since it does not form a tightly-bound bond.

In the first place, the covers' appearance gets a 5 out of 10. The Chrome version of the FLHTC is what I have. These are a great value for the $40 Harley charges in their version. According to the instructions, the kit should come with two sets of set screws, one long and one short. Mine came with just one long set screw, so the set screws are left hanging out of the covers, which not only looks bad, but also requires a lot of attention when cleaning. The seller was unable to help me, even after I contacted them. There is no way for me to know the size of the short ones, so I will try to buy short ones to fix. The units are metric, so I can only assume they are. I have given them 3 out of 5 stars as an overall rating. So maybe buying HD for $40 will be worth it in the end.

The picture of the actual product received illustrates the hideous new look of the covers as a result of the 3 screw setup. The extra screw kills me, though, why is that? Authentic HD covers use only one screw for security. The ID of the HD covers is a little too large for axle nuts. The 2- would disappear from this set if you hid it As you left the screw side facing up, you were left with a freaking screw staring back at you. This ruins the look of a relatively presentable and clean In my books, this is just too ugly. The seller will receive the return. We need to fix them and get rid of those extra screws, and I would gladly buy them back. To make sure you're paying attention to this fine detail, I awarded you one star.

They look great out of the box, no issues with the chrome. I received them today 4/17/18. We test fit them on the bike, right side used the existing set screws no issue. Putting the left side on was no problem, just had to use the longer set screws. Every single one of them fits perfectly, no problems, and they appear to be working well I'll see how the chrome holds up, so I'll give it 3 stars for now, but the product appears to be a solid and nice looking ride.

Although they are a great product, I found the same issue that others had. I have no problems with the right side of the computer. Putting things in perspective, here's what the left side looks like. Despite the set screw (for some reason I cannot figure out), the cover will not stay on. If you want the cover to tighten, you have to get a slightly longer set screw. My bike looks just fine now that I have them mounted. I feel like a complete idiot for not securing the hardware with the hardware that came with the kit. My joy at not being the only one stems from the fact that I wasn't alone in this. The rest of the part is quite nice.
