For my 1986 Honda Atc 250r, I used this case splitter, and it worked perfectly! It was also used to split my neighbor's 82 cases. If your engine is equipped with a two-speed transmission, Yes, splitting the center case into two pieces will work. It's tough and won't budge even when pushed! Especially if you help it along by applying pressure with the splitter and then tapping all around the case with a dead blow or rubber mallet to help give it a shock that will help the case halves separate. I've used it to split my motor twice now, and it's fantastic. I believe it will work to split the crank case of almost any motorcycle or atv/utv. It is unquestionably worthwhile to invest in for your garage! I strongly advise you to buy it!
Yes, it will work in your case. On a Yamaha Raptor 660, it won't work. This tool can be used by Banshees, Blasters, and 450s.
This pull is so universal that I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I'm glad I bought these tools at the same time because they made the job much easier. I was able to easily split the cases on a small 2004 Yamaha PW80 for crank bearing and seal service by watching instructional videos on YouTube from Rocky Mountain ATV.
My 450 Grizzly needed rebuilding, and I'm pretty sure I would have broken it if it hadn't been for this tool,,aluminum ya know?.
My Kawasaki was unable to use the crank installer. The case splitter did its job admirably. My Kawasaki KFX 400 was unable to use the crank installer. It could only get the crank into the case from the flywheel side. For Kawasaki motors, you'll need a unique attachment. I didn't realize this until I read the instructions for the tool. I took it to a shop and had the case halves assembled for me.
Great product; I've split and pressed cases with it several times. It simplifies the entire process. Material with a lot of strength. It was a wise decision.
My 2007 Honda CR250 had no problems with it. It's fully adjustable, with two anchor sizes to choose from. I'm confident that this will work on the majority of dirt bikes on the market.
Thank you so much. It worked perfectly and came with two different sizes of screws to accommodate different case bolt sizes.
If you split cases, this is a must-have tool. It is well worth the money. Remember to purchase the Kawasaki engine adapter as well.
It's fantastic! Suzuki RM250, TS185, and three Kawasaki KX250 motorcycles have all been fitted with this part. It was a breeze to take them apart and put them back together. I would strongly suggest it.
