I bought this adapter to allow me to bang on 1/2 drive impact sockets with my 3/8 drive Milwaukee Midtorque. After three months, it has withstood my daily abuse. The best value for your money.
I have a number of Sunex impact tools in my collection; Swivels, adapters, and a Ford driveshaft swivel are all examples of swivels. They truly are unbeatable, and I have yet to break one! Taiwanese-made tools are far superior to Chinese-made tools, and I would put Sunex impacts up against any of the major US-made brands. A diesel mechanic friend of mine (Impact everything! ) claims that all impacts eventually fail, but Sunex outlasts the majority, if not all, of the big-name impacts.
I bought it to replace the 3/8" drive on my Milwaukee M12 Fuel impact driver, which is overpowered for a 12v tool, but most of my sockets are 1/2" drive. It's impact-resistant, snugly fits my tool, and hasn't cracked under any of the abuse I've thrown at it! My only gripe is that it causes my sockets to wobble a little more than a standard 1/2" impact wrench, but that's most likely due to the slop created by having an extra piece. That's not something I'm going to blame on the extension.
For the past two months, I've been pounding on this with a stubby Milwaukee set to 250 ft lbs. So far, so good. However, I'm starting to have some internal doubts about it.
It's what I use with my Milwaukee 3/8 cordless impact gun, and it's held up well so far. My purchase has exceeded my expectations.
Only 1/2" impact sockets are in my toolbox, and I use them exclusively. I have a 3/8" Milwaukie M12 impact driver and a 1/2" Milwaukie M18 impact driver. This item is in good working order and has shown no signs of excessive wear thus far.
These extensions are well-made. I bought them for my home tool set, but they're just as good as my tool truck set and cost a fraction of the price.
I'd recommend it because it's built to withstand impact. It's a good adapter to use with a 3/8 Milwaukee stubby. It makes changing sockets a breeze. I'd recommend it because it easily handles 225lbs of torque.
