Is this product superior to the STP fuel cleaner, which is significantly less expensive?

Given that the difference is only a few dollars and that this product is in the $10 range, I wouldn't waste my time trying anything else. I'll admit that I've never tried anything else, but 2,200 miles after the first use, I'm still seeing a noticeable improvement in fuel economy and smooth acceleration. I'm going to stick to the 5k intervals that are suggested. I hope this has been of assistance.

Will the LONG-TERM use of this Redline product harm my 02 sensors? No one seems to be talking about it. ?

Actually, a few years ago, I installed this product in a 1997 Toyota Camry. The car was over 20 years old and had only ever had basic crap gasoline (no Top Tier and no fuel system cleaners) in it; the check engine light DID come on a few days after I added it, and it WAS a broken O2 sensor. However, I'd do it again in a heartbeat because a new O2 sensor was only $13 and took less than 10 minutes to install. So it appears that using this with a crusty vehicle could result in an O2 sensor error or failure. However, this is not the case with long-term use. For the past five years, I've used this in my 2016 Mazda 3 several times a year, and it still runs like new.

What are the differences between a diesel engine and a LPG engine?

Do not put this in a diesel or LPG fuel tank, or anything else that isn't regular gasoline; however, as someone else pointed out, there is a diesel engine version. Red Line 60302 is the number to dial.

My soul is on a red line
5/5

My commute takes an hour and a half, thanks to nonstop, gridlocked traffic. I commute 16 miles each way on the highway. As I fight my way into the city with the rest of the suburban office drones, I see the "speed limit 65" signs taunting me as I creep past them at 4 mph. br>br>However, I live for those few seconds of acceleration before slamming on the brakes and coming to a complete stop thirty feet away. This product improves those seconds just a smidgeon. And sometimes that's all I need to get through another day of misery and bitterness.

The Best Fuel System Cleaner on the Market Right Now
5/5

SI- Redline 1 is the best readily available fuel system cleaner right now. The condition of my 2003 S2000's engine, which I bought new and am responsible for nearly all of the 99,700 miles on the clock, is one of the best examples supporting this statement. S2000s from the previous generation (1999-2002) Years of production: 2003 The intake manifold and throttle body are notorious for oil consumption through the PCV valve (for a variety of reasons), and as a result, the intake manifold and throttle body develop a nasty coat of carbon saturated goop. On the other hand, Only steam cleaning (or running a water/methanol injection system) could make my S2000's intake and throttle body cleaner. I attribute my success to the use of this product, as well as the use of a high-quality camera. My engine has been kept clean and free of wear thanks to shelf synthetic oil (Amsoil). The most recent security breach- a down test on my engine (at 90,000 miles) showed less the 2% leak- I'm running on all cylinders, and I'm not going to go over 0. Difference of 5% among all cylinders (1. 25, 1. 5, 1. 5, 1. 75 - 1st cylinder My S2000 is also not driven conservatively, as it is revved to 9000 RPM 2-. Every time I get in the car, I do this 3 times - My car, on the other hand, has a four-speed transmission. When compared to a stock S2000, 44 final drive gears are equivalent to 1/8th mile gears, resulting in higher than normal RPMs in all gears. and, on average, significantly higher RPMs than a typical street car To put things in context, an engine's age is determined by how many average RPMs it turns per unit distance (measured in the engine's average RPMs turned per mile driven). This is why a car with mostly 'highway' miles has significantly less engine/drivetrain wear than one with mostly 'city' miles (and why most auto manufacturers consider city driving to be "severe" driving conditions). With this in mind, the engine on a typical Honda S2000 turns 1. 5 - Under 'normal' driving conditions, it spins at twice the rate of the average passenger car. If you drive an S2000 in a spirited manner - There's a chance it'll be greater than two. The average car costs five times as much as this one. So consider a Toyota Camry with less than 2% leak down per cylinder and over 200,000 miles on the clock (basically an engine that is barely broken in) - That would be fantastic, and it would provide a more accurate measure of how useful this product has been to my S2000. Consider how much your BMW 3 Series, Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, Ford Fusion, or any other gas-powered vehicle would benefit from SI-technology. 1 as well as a good synthetic oil? It is true that it makes a difference. You might wonder - br>br> "How does a fuel system cleaner help an engine last longer?" you might wonder. The complete answer is complex, but the short version is that the fuel - Especially important are the fuel additives. provide direct lubrication to the upper cylinders, and the detergent action of the fuel additives is designed to help prevent and remove carbon deposits in the engine, which are a major source of wear in all engines due to poor fuel quality and combustion byproducts. br>br>Most top-rated br>br>best-selling br>br>best-selling tier fuels (Chevron/Texaco, BP, Shell, and Exxon, to name a few) came together to form a self-regulatory organization. imposed agreement to supply detergents in higher concentrations than the government requires (a form of self-regulation) governing). However, even with nearly twice the amount of detergents required by the government, these fuels will not provide enough detergent or lubrication to keep your engine clean - especially with the corn lobby's insistence on high ethanol levels. As a result, there is an increase in deposit growth. Owners of automobiles must still contend with the reality of going up. While deposit formation is slow in top-down environments, it happens quickly in bottom-up environments. Tier fuels are a type of fuel that can be used in a variety of applications and not nearly as quickly as with bottom-up approaches. the- It will happen over time if you use barrel fuels (Citgo, Raceway, Sams Club, and so on). 1 shines: It has an excellent upper-class reputation. lubrication and cleaning of the cylinders - It does this without chemically breaking down your motor oil (as in blow-by) and keeps your engine almost analytically clean. by means of goods) br>br>One of the reasons this product outperforms products from other high-quality fuel system cleaner manufacturers (such as BG and Chevron) is that the SI-2000 has a longer life span. Because it is specifically catalyzed by the heat of combustion, 1's detergent process is more 'gradual. ' Moreover, the cleaning procedure is not solely dependent on the action of strong chemical solvents. SI-'s most important elements Polyether amines (PEA) are one of the ingredients responsible for the product's highly effective cleaning process (as mentioned by other reviewers). Strong solvents (non-flammable) are used heavily by BG (44K), Chevron (Techron), and virtually all other fuel system cleaners. Even though some of these products use low levels of PEAs in their formulation, polar solvents of varying concentration and quality) are used instead of PEAs to remove carbon and other deposits. While using high-quality solvents can be very effective (depending on the concentration and quality of the solvents), an unfortunate side effect can be premature chemical breakdown of motor oil - As a result, most fuel system cleaner manufacturers recommend using their products a tankful before an oil change. In their busy lives, how many people can or will schedule/time the last tank of gas before an oil change? Not many. br>br>You may have noticed that I only mentioned two other capable fuel system cleaners by name (products that I consider to be extremely effective "cleaners"). It was done on purpose for them to be mentioned. Apart from Redline, BG, and Chevron, the only other effective fuel system cleaner I would recommend is Amsoil's Performance Improver (Performance Improver - PI). PI). PI works in a similar way to Redline's SI-based system. 1 and has PEAs, but I've discovered Redline's SI- When compared to Amsoil's PI, 1 has proven to be more effective and cost-effective. The vast majority of other branded fuel system cleaners are essentially "snake oil," containing ineffective concentrations or combinations of solvents and carrier solvents (heavy aromatic naphtha, xylene), as well as heavy petroleum products. Heavy alcohols (polar protic solvents) are used instead of more effective cleaning agents in the worst products. Alcohols and some heavy petroleum products do more harm than good, and they actually cause more deposits. When using fuel that has been treated with those products, your car may appear to run a little better - However, once the product is diluted in the following step, the car will quickly deteriorate. fueled by gas tanks So, what does a typical person do in this situation? Purchase more and re-inject it into the fuel (assuming it still requires cleaning). The car then performs slightly better, but fails to do so (again) when the product is diluted. . . and so on. With a good cleaner, this vicious cycle does not occur. SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI 1 Usage: How to Make the Most of SI- The first is how it was intended to be used in the first place: by titrating (mixing) a specific amount per tank (depending on how much gas you have). Personally, I use about a tenth of a teaspoon. a quarter bottle for every ten gallons of water - If my car's engine requires more cleaning (a subjective decision), or if I am forced to use a lower concentration, I will use a higher concentration. Due to a scarcity of fuel and a lack of other options, tier gas is the only option. br>According to the bottle's instructions, a full bottle should be used every 3,000 to 4,000 miles. 5,000 miles or so (as with the majority of fuel system cleaners) - However, this is not due to a change in the formulation. This is a departure from Redline's previous per-person recommendation. Adding SI- to the tank 1 to a 3- The 5k mile interval was purely promotional in nature - because the majority of people are notoriously lazy and unwilling to add something to each fill-in-the-blank Red Line's marketing team decided to make an exception for those who are too lazy to titrate. While a bottle is opened every three months, 5k miles isn't a bad option (I do it on occasion to supplement my per-mile allowance). I don't use a 3,000-unit tank titration method in place of a 3,000-unit tank titration method. 5,000-mile interval for much more effective SI-addition There is one in each tank. br>br>The main issue with only cleaning your fuel system once every 3,000 miles is that it is difficult to keep it clean. Carbon and other deposits accumulate over the 5,000-mile interval between clean-ups. ups - as well as the construction If you're using a conventional or low-cost synthetic oil, this will cause more wear over time. That increased wear is occurring at the same time as your oil is breaking down, exacerbating the wear issues. In addition, treating just one tank is a waste of time and money. once every 3,000-4,000 miles, fill up your tank with your preferred fuel system cleaner 5,000 miles won't be enough to remove all of the build-up. up, and the time between clean-ups after that Ups will amass more deposits than the interval preceding the previous (and so on). SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI-SI As I drive my S2000, I keep the engine clean at all times, and I build-up It's never been a problem for me to get dressed (and wear). Using SI- The best way to ensure long life and flawless operation of your (gas-powered) vehicle's engine is to use 1 in conjunction with a high-quality synthetic oil (such as Amsoil).

So far, everything has gone well! I was able to save a significant amount of money as a result of your assistance
5/5

I bought it because I had a P0420 (catalytic converter) check engine light that was costing me $1,700 to fix. It's worth a shot for $15, and I haven't been disappointed! My check engine light has turned off, and I've already gone through three tanks of gas. So far, everything has gone well! I was able to save a significant amount of money as a result of your assistance.

Snake Oil is not for you! This isn't snake oil for cars with a lot of miles on them
5/5

This is fantastic. If your car is sluggish and/or pinging, this will immediately improve its performance. I used Red Line Fuel System Cleaner in my 2011 Prius with 160K miles, which was making a pinging noise when accelerating from a stop when the engine and A/C compressor were both working hard (hot summers in CA). The noise is no longer audible. It also improved the performance of a sluggish 2008 Nissan Versa with 90,000 miles. I poured it into a nearly empty tank of gas before filling up with top-tier premium gas containing Techron or another similar cleaner and driving the car harder than usual for 10 minutes. Since then, I've been able to accelerate and make pinging noises with my regular gas type. br>br>Recent changes: br>br> My 2008 Lexus with 215K miles had a problem with throttle response. It's back to being as good as new.

By far, the best snake oil I've ever tried
4/5

Redline will not receive the Nobel Peace Prize for engineering and science this year, but that doesn't mean it isn't a good product; I have been using Redline products in our vehicles and with our customers for over a decade and have found nothing but excellence from this company. Their oil and additive formulas have improved the performance of the vehicles in which I've installed them, and Si1 is no exception. Now, if you use this to try to make your engine factory new, you will most likely be disappointed, but if you use it to help keep your car in top shape, you will find the car gods are on your side. It's like Kale: it won't make you thin, but if you combine it with regular exercise, it'll help you get the nutrients your body requires. br>br>Try it; it's by far the best fuel additive I've ever used for routine cleanings.

I was able to save a significant amount of money as a result of your efforts

When my car began to drive sluggishly, I assumed it needed a tune-up or something. When I took it to the dealer, they recommended flushing the coolant and engine oil. My car is only four years old and has about 73,000 miles on it, so the service bill is in the hundreds of dollars. It didn't make sense to me, but because I'm a woman, I suppose they assumed I didn't know better. I started googling potential problems and saw suggestions for getting an additive, but then I came across this product on Amazon with excellent reviews. It was worth a shot when compared to the costs of flushing the systems. I waited until my gas tank was nearly empty before adding this to it and topping it off with a full tank of gas. My car now has the same power as when I first bought it, after only 2 days! br>br>I'm so glad I found this product; I'll definitely buy it again. countless times.
