Contains a polymer blend that selectively absorbs oil and other petroleum-based liquids while shedding water.

To prevent seepage, the flexible design conforms to machine bases and fits snugly.

Sorbent sock floats in water to absorb waterborne hydrocarbons; white color makes saturation levels visible at a glance.

Absorbency of up to 106 is exceptional. Each sock weighs 6 ounces and each foot weighs 8 ounces. Each package contains 33 gallons of water.

These things are excellent at absorbing oil, but not at absorbing water

These items perform admirably. My boat's bilge absorbed the oil that had spilled. I was able to get the oil without having to drink any water. This is an excellent item. I keep a few on board in case we have another oil line problem.

My oil pan on my boat had rotted out, and this product saved the day

Unfortunately, the boat was on a forward incline, so it all went into places I couldn't reach. I stashed a few of these where I could, and it absorbed it all in no time.

It was oil, not water, that was absorbed

In my boat, there was a diesel leak. Because I didn't want the bilge pump to discharge the fuel overboard, I put one of these in the bilge and it absorbed the fuel until I could find the source (a tiny hole in the fuel return line hidden deep inside). I'll keep one on board in case anything happens.
