Questions & Answers

What is the best method for cleaning the mat?

It's easier to just throw it away because it's so thin and inexpensive. You could probably use degreaser, but depending on how you plan to use the mat, I'd just get a new one.

Is it possible to drive a car over it every day? Is it fire-resistant, to put it another way?

Yes, you can drive over it and park on it; however, I'm not sure how your car caught fire.

I'm looking for a cardboard replacement for the undercarriage of my tractor. Is this appropriate?

We used this to replace the cardboard we had underneath our cars. It's very light, and we haven't had any issues with it. We, on the other hand, use it in our garage. Some people believe that storing your vehicle outside will cause it to be blown away by the wind. It is effective at catching leaks.

Beware
3/5

It's possible that what you see isn't exactly what you're looking for The oil mat is not at all what it appears to be! No non- backing with a slip; not neatly rolled and labeled; 2'8" to 3'4" in height; It doesn't resemble theirs in the least. Amazon handled the delivery and sale of mine. It has the appearance of sound barrier insulation, such as that found around a dishwasher.

Water management is superb
5/5

These mats, man, they're incredible. In front of our dog's water bowl, we have one. It assists in preventing water drops from falling on the floor. We have one in our bathroom as well. br>It dries quickly. Our bath mats simply didn't seem to be up to the task. They were always dripping wet and smelled awful. Then we'd have to wash them, and the cycle would go on indefinitely. This mat absorbs water and dries quickly, leaving no unpleasant odors behind. We also purchased one for the shed, which will be used to store the mower. That one hasn't made it out yet, but it could come in handy around the house!.

The mat is very nice
5/5

I'm not sure if it holds as much fluid as they claim, but it was ideal for a car show where we were required to have a drip pan/pad under our vehicles. My car does not leak anything, but it does not stand out like a metal pan would under your car. Also, you expect something to stay rolled when you unroll it, but this flattened out right away and blended in under the car. At home or at a car show, this is an absolute must!.

It served its purpose for as long as it did
4/5

For my leaking Jeep, this was ideal. After I got home from work, I would use it every day. It completed the task at hand. After a while, I noticed that it could only absorb so much and began to oil mark everything it came into contact with. Even the rubbery underside that prevents the oils from contacting the ground began to smell bad. So it lasted about ten months before I decided I needed a new one to start over.

I had a Honda Accord that was slowly leaking oil due to a faulty head gasket, and I didn't want it to ruin the car
5/5

We have a 1997 Honda Accord that is slowly leaking oil due to a blown head gasket, and we didn't want it to ruin our garage's cement. It worked by putting one of these rugs under the car. The rug is made up of a felt-like material that prevents the dripping oil from spreading laterally, as well as an underlying rubber-like material. like material to prevent the oil from spreading vertically (e. g. , and poured it into the concrete). I use the rug for about 4 months (though it could likely last longer) before replacing it.

I was surprised at how light-weight the item was for the price
4/5

It was a heavy rug. So far, it appears to be working properly. My father is a We live in an HOA subdivision, so our laws' car has a small oil leak. I don't want to be fined for minor oil stains, so he used broken down boxes for a long time. I bought this and it's been working fine; all he needs to do now is place a few rocks on top of it to keep it from blowing away in the wind. It's a good size for those with leaking cars and it's a cheap enough product to replace. Definitely recommend.

I put them under my fishtanks and they're fantastic
5/5

They're great for this! I put them under my fishtanks and they work great! Because we have new hardwood floors, I was curious about how well they would hold water at first: It didn't allow any of the water to soak in: ) (note: I didn't spill a lot of water; instead, I performed routine maintenance, which usually entails a few drips and spills. ) I now have an extra one that I take with me on maintenance days to hold buckets, tools, and other miscellaneous items.

They perform admirably for the task at hand
5/5

I only bought one to see if it was what I was looking for in our garage under our classic cars. We have a '79 Super Beetle for the wife with a tiny leak under the oil strainer (yes, strainer, not filter) and a '64 Stingray for ourselves. It's just nice to have these on the garage floor and know that they'll absorb any leaks these old birds may have.
