Questions & Answers

Would I have to fill my tank with only 20 gallons after pouring in Max Clean, or could I fill it all the way up?

If you're having trouble with injectors, I'd recommend using two cans. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend cleaning your injectors. Scotty Kilmer has a professional way of cleaning injectors that you can find on YouTube or Google. After about 130,000 miles, Honda has the most issues and should be cleaned. I'm aware of this because I have a number of them.

What is the best way to put this to use? Is it okay if I just stick it in the gas tank?

Fill the tank with gas after you've dumped it in. This big container can handle up to 20 gallons of water. Because I use it in my motorcycle, I only use a small amount. It also includes a fuel stabilizer, which is beneficial because I don't ride the bike very often.

Is this something that can be used with a small gas engine?

What exactly do you mean when you say "small gasoline engines"? I have a 1500cc engine that performs admirably. Is this a good size?

Is it true that this product turns spark plugs orange in color?

I'm not sure if it CAN cause spark plugs to turn orange or not. Any injector cleaner or fuel additive, according to what I've read, can cause the plug tips to turn orange. You can do the same research that I did on the internet. I WILL tell you that my motor developed a loud "clacking" within 100 miles of adding this to my gasoline, which was diagnosed as "spun bearing" by at least one mechanic, and the solution was to replace the motor. Fortunately, my mechanic was able to accurately diagnose the problem and repair it for only $150 after disassembling the intake. However, I will never again use this product. I can't recommend it with a straight face.

WARNING: BEWARE! You're risking MAJOR MOTOR ISSUES if you use this stuff in a vehicle with a lot of miles on it and the potential for carbon buildup from unburned fuel
3/5

It was installed in my 1999 Toyota Sienna. My motor sounded as if it had thrown a rod within the first 50 miles! I took it to two mechanics and watched every youtube video I could find to try to duplicate the sound. The same thing was said by each and every one of them. "Spun a Rod Bearing" is a phrase used to describe the process of spinning a rod bearing The din was deafening. I was looking into purchasing a new (used) engine for $2,000 or less. 00 has been installed! )as a result of the lower cost of a new engine! I took it to my mechanic to see if he'd be willing to replace the bearing while the car was still running. He believes it is carbon in the intake manifold system that is causing piston slap and a dead plug, rather than the rod bearing. He said he'd remove the intake manifold and replace any faulty plugs, as well as clean out any debris that had gotten loose and gotten into the upper cylinder area. I'm glad I heeded his advice. He charged me $150 for removing the intake manifold, replacing one dead plug, and cleaning out the crud that had been freed up with this stuff. I got extremely fortunate! If you have any chance of having a significant buildup of carbon residue, I cannot recommend this product to you. BEWARE OF THE BUYER! They wouldn't even give me a refund because I had thrown away the container (because I trusted the product)! I not only squandered the funds, but I also incurred a $150 loss. AN EXTRA COST OF 00!.

It performs admirably
5/5

This is what I used in my 2008 Dodge Ram with 60k miles. It ran great, but the throttle response wasn't as good as it had been. I put in 1 1/2 cans and filled up to about 30 gallons, then drove for about a week until the tank was down to 1/4 tank. It was extremely beneficial, and I was blown away by it. I bought two more cans, put them both in, and filled them up, and within a day or two, I noticed a significant improvement. The throttle response has greatly improved! Even when I barely press down on the gas pedal, it wants to open up and move. I've tried other cleaners in the past, but this one is by far the best.

Vroom
5/5

vrooom, vrooom, vrooom, vrooom, vrooom, vrooom, vrooom, Okay. I have a 2003 Honda Shadow with a clogged fuel line; I was on my second can of seafoam and ready to take it to the mechanic for cleaning, but it was so clogged that I wasn't sure I'd make it there in time. On the spur of the moment, I ordered royal purple and decided to give it a shot. Eh, after about ten minutes of contemplation. The line suddenly became available, and I had a great time riding around. There's still some popping from the exhaust, but it's getting less and less with each ride as the stuff settles in. I'm going to keep at it, but this stuff seems to work.

This fuel cleaner is fantastic
5/5

This is a fantastic product. I'm not a mechanic, so I'm not sure how accurate the reading is, but my dash tells me how many miles per gallon I'm getting, and I was consistently getting 25. My 2012 Chevrolet Sonic gets 6 miles per gallon. I put this in last night, and it now says I'll get a score of 26. 4 MPG, so it appears to be performing as advertised. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> It's now telling me that I'm going to get a 29. 2 weeks later, I'm still getting 1 MPG, so this is fantastic!.

Cleans well and is a great maintenance product! This stuff isn't a joke; if used on a regular basis, it will clean injectors like a pro setup! I went out and purchased a professional-grade camera
5/5

level injector cleaning setup (run the car from the cleaner instead of fuel and connect to shop air), and this keeps my personal vehicle as clean as or cleaner than running that setup against once a year! The Land Rover 4 is a vehicle designed by Land Rover. Because of the cylinder head design and the way the engine tune creates a lot of torque at low RPMs with a DOHC design (not an easy thing to do), the 4L LRV8 is known to clog injectors. As a result, cleaning the injectors on a regular basis is probably the most important thing you can do to ensure their longevity. This works great; every six months, I run a can through a full 20 gallon tank of gas, and the injectors stay clean and spray perfectly (after 14 years and 95k miles). br>br>This cleans so well that it may dislodge carbon buildup in the intake runners or injectors if you don't maintain your car (or van). So please use this product to properly maintain your vehicle, rather than waiting until it's nearly dead. . . this isn't a "zombie car product," and it won't bring your beat-up neglected car (or van) back to life!.

I purchased this on July 31, 2019, when I was looking for an additive to clean the fueling system on my aging 97 Geo Metro
4/5

I decided to give this product a try after reading many positive reviews, and I also purchased this on July 31, 2019.

Without a doubt, the best fuel additive on the market! I've used a wide range of fuel system cleaners, from Walmart's own brand to Chevron/Exxon's own
5/5

This is by far the best product I've ever used, and even after using other products on a regular basis, I noticed a boost in power in a turbo-charged vehicle. I hadn't felt that charged Kia Optima in a few years. This book comes highly recommended.
