The palm fabric is a little more plastic-like. It's a little thicker than the rest of the glove, but it's still a fabric. There are no hard plastic pieces or pockets into which sliders can be inserted for added protection.
So they're tough, but I'd go for something with a little more grip on the gloves. As if they were genuine race gloves.
I'm not sure where you are or how cold it gets there. I can tell you that I bought this pair specifically for my husband's motorcycle rides on colder days. For the winter, I bought him a pair of lined gloves. Because we're in Pennsylvania, you won't be able to ride all year.

I recently had an accident where I underestimated the amount of dirt/debris passing through a sharp (square corner) and slid off my bike at about 15 or 10 mph (can't remember). No abrasions have occurred on my hand. The glove's aftermath is captured in this photograph. The touch screen texture should cover the tips of the fingers, in my opinion. I'm also going to get a new pair. (It was purchased when I was sixteen years old. ) 99+tax).
My hand was not scratched, but I did break two fingers, but they were not seriously broken. Doc said she's almost certain my knuckles would have been shattered if I hadn't been wearing the gloves, and there were glass shards embedded in the knuckle guards. I'd probably have a worse hand situation if it weren't for these gloves.

These gloves have now been on my hands for two months (and three days). They've handled themselves admirably. To be honest, I wasn't expecting much from them given the price. But I didn't expect that after less than two months of normal use (I've only used them for riding motorcycles for about 1 to 2 hours per ride, about 4-5% of the time), they would be completely worn out. They'd already be ripping apart at 6 times per week. I was riding about two weeks ago when I noticed a small tear in the tendon of my middle finger's second knuckle. Since then, the hole has gotten a little bigger, and a second hole has appeared on the pointer finger in the same spot. If this happens so quickly from normal use, I'm not optimistic that they'll be of much assistance in the event of an accident.
I'm afraid I won't be able to wear these because they are too big. They appear to be of good quality, with firm knuckles. I didn't get a chance to try them on for touch screen, but when I tried them on, I thought to myself, "I don't think these will work on my phone," and I didn't realize they were touch screen capable until I started reading the review and saw touch screen mentioned in the title. br>In latex gloves, I'm a small size, which aids in comparison. These are similar to a medium latex glove in terms of fit.

I didn't want to write a review until I had given these gloves a thorough test. The ability to use a touch screen is fantastic. It took some time to get used to, but I'm now a pro at using it. This is the first time I've used a touch screen glove. They're both long-lasting and cozy. For me, the fit was exactly what I was looking for. I almost ordered a smaller size after reading the reviews, but I'm glad I didn't. I normally wear an XL glove, which is exactly what I ordered, and it fits perfectly.
