You "can" use another brake, but you will be limiting your slope to a 3% or less, whereas the Bungee Brake allows you to go up to a 6% slope (more fun). It is entirely up to you.
I'd say a couple of hours at the very least. If you get stuck, give us a call and we'll help you figure out how high off the ground you need to anchor your zip line. You'll also need a Tensioning Kit (an 8-foot strap with a fancy come-on). along with a cable grab) to help you set the right tension on your zip line.
Everything is determined by the brake's preloaded tension and distance from the end. I strongly advise adding a spring brake for emergency stopping.
Both a spring and a bungee brake were used.

For a very simple reason, I placed an order on Amazon. I had no idea how this was going to turn out! If I made a mistake or found it too difficult, Amazon has a great return policy, so I won't be out $600 (Daddy Insurance). Furthermore, due to the high demand for this type of home entertainment during the Corona era, Amazon was able to provide me with availability and shipping terms that even the manufacturer couldn't match. (I believe the manufacturer's website was out of stock at the time I placed my order. )br>br>This is a complete kit. You don't need to buy anything else. What you do need, and what you absolutely must have, is a lot of manpower and a tension kit. You will be unable to install this without those two items. A WARNING HAS BEEN GIVEN TO YOU! I spent about $50 on a tension winch and cable puller, and it was the best $50 I've ever spent. I'll never use those two items again, but my kids' zip line would not be up if it weren't for them. br>br>The materials are of hard core industrial quality, as they should be. My only complaint is that the instruction book is a one-size-fits-all for all kits, which means you get extra information you don't need. All you have to do now is focus on the pages that pertain to your kit, and you'll be fine. It was easier for me to simply look at the diagram, and that was the simplest method. Installation was simple and straightforward, but you'll need assistance and time; I had a team of four, not that you'll need it, but keep in mind that you'll be climbing trees. It helps a lot if someone holds the ladder for you or hands you a tool you left on the ground. From the layout to the positioning of the tree slings, safety cables, turn buckles, and tensioning, the project takes an entire 8 hours. Also, keep in mind that you must repeat the process twice, once at each end. The braking system and final tension with the turnbuckles must be completed after that. Again, not difficult, but time consuming and precise; you must first determine the angle of slope before tensioning that wire; otherwise, God help you, you will have to de-tension that wire. To move the cable, pull on one end. Again, it isn't difficult, but it does take time. (keep some extra beer on hand in case you need it) Do you see how this keeps repeating itself? That's how I felt all day long as I walked 127 feet back and forth to get this right. br>br>However, once you get it right, the screaming will begin, with the first screams coming from you as you test it out before allowing the kids to ride it. The rest will be a nonstop interval of safe and clean fun at home, while you become the envy of the neighborhood and, most importantly, Dad the hero who installed a zipline. br>br>PS: The only reason anyone was looking at their phones was to take pictures of each rider. Climbing, running back and forth between trees, jumping up and down, overcoming fears, and developing confidence were all part of the fun. This activity has a lot more going on than it appears.
We chose this one because the cable is thicker than the cheaper ones, providing us with more security. We've set it up, and everything is working fine. The directions were detailed and easy to understand.
This was a fantastic zip line set for my wedding entrance! It was a fantastic start to the entertainment and a wonderful special day.
I was not disappointed in the least. It was a pleasant surprise. This item will be used by my children and grandchildren, so the quality is very important to me. I had everything I needed to assemble it. Directions that are easy to follow I have no reservations about allowing my children to ride in this vehicle. There are no parts that I can see that could fail catastrophically. Back-up protection- Thanks for the heads up. The bungee brake is awesome. It's actually enjoyable to let it stop you quickly and safely.
The instructions are clear and simple to understand. We completed the 6% grade and it is extremely quick! We added the spring brake for an even more exciting ride. my five grandchildren Every day, my 8-year-old son plays with it! A HIGH-QUALITY product at a REASONABLE PRICE.
I expected this product to be exactly what it was. It came with very clear installation instructions.
It's very well-made, with heavy parts that appear to be long-lasting. Quick delivery and well-protected packaging. I haven't set up yet because I'm awaiting Wearher's cooperation.
We're having a lot of fun with it.
