So, in total, you'll receive two adjustable straps, one with a buckle in the middle and the other without. Each strap is made up of two parts, one with a loop on one end (which you loop through itself) and the other with a buckle, which clasps together to secure whatever you're carrying. I'm a big fan of these straps. They're a huge improvement over bubgee cords. They are much more secure in holding your belongings. I had a 90-liter bag on the bottom with two straps and a 50-liter bag on top with two more straps. Those bags did not shift or move at all as we rode through the mountains' winding switchbacks. I strongly advise you to do so. Quick release clips make it simple to put on and take off the gear.
These ROK Straps, unlike most other straps, use a fairly heavy-duty buckle or cam to tighten them down. duty elastic band with just enough "give" to keep whatever you're strapping down tight and stable. Ordinary straps can lose their grip completely if the load compresses or shifts, but these will simply "take up" the slack in that case. There are two pieces to each strap. A plastic buckle connects the two halves. The elastic band is used on one end, while the adjustable strap is used on the other, and both ends have an endless loop sewn into them to wrap around a frame member. I'm not sure how well the elastic bands will hold up to constant exposure to sunlight, but as with anything else I use on my bike, I'll have to keep an eye on them for wear and damage. So far, they've held up well and are performing admirably, even better than the straps they replaced. They get a five-star rating from me because they deliver exactly what they say they will.
None of them has ever broken, worn out, or let me down. Every time I loan a set out on a ride, they end up purchasing one for themselves. br>*** Strongly suggested ***.
I ride my bikes with everything (that will fit), and I've been using the smaller version of these straps for years. I needed to transport an Xbox One in its box to the office recently, and the shorter straps were just a little too short; however, since these are another 20 inches longer, they should work for anything I need to carry. They stretch and fit like the smaller version, and they were a great deal. I like how they don't use hooks, which can scratch the paint over time.
The straps are fantastic. I've been using these for years on my motorcycles and can't think of a better way to secure things. Bungees irritate me because they have metal ends that scratch my motorcycle, and when they are used frequently, the elastic dies or the cord pops out of the metal end. These are scratch-resistant and can be tightened dramatically for small loads or extended for larger loads in a matter of seconds. Attaching them to the motorcycle takes only a second, and then clipping and pulling them tight on luggage, helmets, backpacks, or anything else you want to secure to your motorcycle takes only a second.
I've tried bungies, cargo nets, and 550 cord, but this solution is by far the best. Are they cheap? Nope. However, I'm not concerned about my belongings falling off as I speed down a back road in search of the wind. I think these will last me at least a dozen years. They're sturdy, adjustable, and extremely functional. br>br> A fantastic piece of equipment that is well worth the money for any rider.
It is extremely simple to put on, adjust, tighten, and use. For years, one of these has been a full-time rider on my bicycle. It's still simple to adjust and holds up well.
I was concerned that I would only get one strap with the product description printed on it, but I received two. It's perfect for securing all of my belongings to the back of my motorcycle. This is the second pair I've made (the first ones have been saved as backups).
