Questions & Answers

How much weight can these support hanging? For example, if I used them to hang tires in my garage?

I'm not sure how heavy these are for web straps, but they seem to be quite substantial. These aren't ratchet tiedowns, though, because the buckles are just a die casting. Even so, I believe they should be able to support a static load of 100 to 200 pounds. I'd use one per tire just for safety and because they're cheap.

What company produces these cam buckles?

I had no idea I had thrown away the packaging. If it matters, they work well.

What's the material used for the strap? What is the capacity of the load?

It's made of nylon, which is very soft. I wouldn't put too much weight on it because the buckle appears to be cheap. It was purchased to secure the Yeti cooler in the Polaris Ranger's back bed. It's perfect for that purpose.

Are they made of stainless steel?

Steel with a zinc coating. For me, they're perfect. I would purchase this item again.

The straps are fantastic
5/5

These are what I use to keep my car's roof rack in place; they're a good replacement for what was previously on it. A ratchet strap is a device that allows you to adjust the tension on a strap I combined these with the door jam hooks to eliminate the "issue we had before" of water leaking into the car due to the straps soaking up water. The ratchet strap tension was causing the roof rack to break, so these work better, even if they aren't as tight as the ratchet straps. I'm going to order a 10 foot because the 8 was a little too short for my liking, but they still work. I'm just looking for that extra little bit. The teeth on the cam are nicely defined, so they bite into the strap well but aren't so sharp that they pierce it.

It's a lot more durable than I thought it would be
5/5

The cam is effective at securing the attachment. You are provided with a trade-in option. It's a trade-off between the ease of use of these and the added security of other buckle styles, but that's fine. Great for securing items in the car or on the back of a bike, scooter, or motorcycle, as well as a variety of other applications. I am very pleased with the straps, which are heavier than I expected.

Surprisingly Taught is a term used to describe a person who has learned something new
5/5

I bought these so I could attach a birdhouse to a tree without damaging it. They ratchet down so tightly and firmly that I was surprised.

For our Yeti, I made a shoulder strap
5/5

These were ideal for my concept. We have the Yeti roadie with the hand carrying handle strap, and it was impossible for me to lug around anywhere (soccer games, swim meets, etc. ), and my husband was even annoyed by the design when he had to carry it to and from the beach. I bought these straps, threaded them through the tie down caps on the sides, and attached a shoulder pad, and BOOM, it's now super easy to carry!.

My car has a bike rack that I use
5/5

Have you ever wondered if the Yule rubber straps are adequate when traveling at 70 miles per hour on the highway? I do - As a result, use these ratchet straps in addition to the rubber straps that come with the bike rack. Suspenders and belts are on the way - It's not expensive, and the peace of mind is well worth it.

They are successful
5/5

I've bought other straps that look similar to these, but the can buckle always slips. These aren't like that at all. The tighter I sinch, the tighter they hold, which is exactly what they should be. I just placed another order.

Great product and customer service; I was sent the incorrect version of this item by mistake, but they quickly corrected it
5/5

Aside from the outstanding customer service, it's a fantastic and durable strap with a heavy-duty latch that I'm confident will last for many years. Thanks!.

They function satisfactorily, but could be improved
3/5

These work fine, but the webbing is thick and slick, causing them to snag in the buckles. It's also difficult to contain the surplus. After only a few months of use, they have also begun to fray badly at the ends.
