If you're wondering if they're all the same size, the answer is yes.
Yes, a ratchet is compatible with these.
That isn't what they're designed for. I loop them through the carry handles and then tie my tie down straps to the underside of the car bumper with them.

I purchased this set of straps after seeing several devices designed to assist in tying down gear on vehicles. They have a lot of muscle and are extremely powerful. I'm confident they'll be able to handle the workload. I cut up an old garden hose and used sections to make a closure for my car's back hatch; The strap will slide under the seal and tighten, but the hose will be tightly gripped and remain in place. I used a large screw to burn a hole in the center of one of the strap loops with two of the straps. After that, I removed a fender mounting screw and used it to secure the strap. When not in use, I knot it and tuck it under the hood, or untie it and run it out the side of the hood for a strong (enough) tie down point. The front and back tie downs are not meant to be cranked down with all of your strength, but rather snugly to keep the watercraft from bouncing or rocking while in transit. It works flawlessly, with no wear or damage to the vehicle or its finish.
These were purchased and are used in my home gym. Two of them are attached to my rack and used for pull-ups, while the other is used for barbell T-squats. Instead of purchasing an attachment, you can do bar rows. I used the last one to hang up my 150-pound heavy bag, and they've all worked perfectly so far.
This was the second time I'd purchased something like this. When I used them in an exercise application, I was so impressed with the quality and strength of these that I purchased more to use to hold up some ladders. br>br>As previously stated, I used four of them for exercise: two of them hang from 3"x3" steel power rack frames about 8' off the ground, with snap links attached so I can add cable pulleys, arm straps, and a variety of other exercise attachments. For any lifting application, I'd never come close to these puppies' breaking strength or safe working load, but I have no doubt they'd perform as advertised. br>br>I'd buy it again, and I probably will. Toss a set in the back of the truck.
I'm sure there are some that are thicker; however, they would most likely be rated for heavier loads. These work well and are manufactured in Louisiana by a small business, in my opinion. So far, it has performed admirably in both wet and dry conditions throughout the day. I guess it's Cajun after all.
I used J-cloth to shape and coat these straps. B Weld them together and wait for them to harden. Then I used them to strengthen the factory rails that had cracked. They are flawless and extremely durable. There was no vibration, no flex, and I was able to paint them in their original color.
I'm not sure what else these could be used for, but they're perfect for: My husband is in a wheelchair for the time being and needed something to hold on to as he slid into the back seat of the SUV. I used one of each of the headrest poles, and they work perfectly!! Also excellent is the customer service. If these didn't work, he offered to make me a custom length. 5 stars!.
They are well made and have proven to be very useful in securing crates and equipment to our forklift with minimal rachet chaffing. With these soft loop tie down straps, it is no longer necessary to wrap the hook around itself. Shipping was prompt, and the items were well-packaged and undamaged when they arrived.
I am not compensated for my reviews, nor do I receive free products. These straps appear to be well-constructed and durable. They'll be used to secure my kayak to the back of my car. They'll do what's expected of them, and I'm confident they'll make tying it down easier.
