Questions & Answers

A large part of the engine protrudes below the chassis of my kawasaki 900 vulcan classic. Apparently, this causes all the weight of the bike to rest on this point? Not a good idea, is it?

If you could put a couple of pieces under the bike to take up the space I have an 83 FLHT on mine and we used thin pieces of wood under it. In this case, I wouldn't use the lift to lift my engine.

In how high an extent does it reach? There is one foot of clearance on my dirt bike. ?

While I am not able to provide you with a precise answer, I suggest you just buy a dirt bike stand in the end. There is not much more than a foot in length. I have found it to work well with my VL800 cruising bike. It doesn't have much clearance, only about six inches

As far as I know, oil changes can be done using this. When a pan sits directly on the platform how is oil captured? I have a Suzuki Intruder, how do I catch the oil?

Harleys were the only bikes I used it on. I do it when I can. Rather than using tin foil, I prefer to use a flat aluminum In addition, I own a large lift that I use to store my bike.

The lift looks stable from the lift handle, but how stable is it on the side? Stability is necessary for accuracy, even though I can hold only 25 pounds. ?

In other words, if the floor is level, then I would say it has a very stable foundation. Honestly, I can't confirm that 25 pounds is all you need. It takes me on average only eighty pounds to lift There are bikes that weigh 1000 pounds.

The product does what is expected of it
4/5

In addition to maintaining my 2007 Harley FXDB Street Bob, I bought this lift in order to facilitate cleaning and cleaning. In case you may not be familiar with these kinds of lifts, they're commonly used by mechanics to get the rear wheel in the air while a bike is already lifted on a large table. Floor versions of table lifts also operate on the ground, but they usually have a clamp on the wheels that stabilize the front wheels so the whole operation is The reason I bought it was because I needed something portable and small that would not take up too much room in the garage but that would be sturdy enough to lift the front or rear tires if necessary. If I did not have a set of hands on the bike at all times, I would probably be hesitant about using this jack to lift the entire bike into the air. Perhaps you can fashion some tie down points for the bike to be strapped down, but the stability of the system is still questioned. It is easy to use the jack with the wrench included, but using a 7/8 inch socket and ratchet makes things quicker and simpler. It would be more practical if the included wrench could be connected to the jack so it can also be used as a carry handle, but that is just In order to protect the bike frame, the top of the jack is covered with a sheet of rubber padding. After two applications, I can see some gouges on the coating already, so I know it will wear away quickly. There are better options if you are looking for a stable motorcycle jack that will allow you to perform major upgrades or repairs while the bike is up in the air. It wouldn't work if you were looking for a jack to lift your bike up to store it for a long time and to make it portable. Find the right jack stand for your bike if you need a small, affordable piece of equipment to perform minor maintenance and detailing.

I used it for the first time and the ball bearings fell The junk got a lot worse and junk got a lot worse! A cheaper product bit me in the a** and I ended up having to pay double! When I used it the first time, after eight turns the ball bearings fell out and the lift became useless, I had seen positive reviews on it, which prompted my purchase, but after my experience I have to say that this product is not of high quality

It unraveled after just a couple of In my case, it wasn't even supporting my full weight on my bike which weighs less than 400 lbs (wasn't even holding it up)

After I slowly lowered it back down, the jack just violently collapsed on me. Had my kickstand not been down and the wheel on the bike not been back on the bike, it would have ended up on its.

This lift is great, and I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy one
5/5

This lift is great, and I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy one. There is no set up involved. In the instructions it says to grease the threads before first use, but I already had a heavy coating of My Harley Davidson Road King is very stable and I was able to lift it off the floor no problem. Is it easy? By using a standard ratchet, my 10 year old daughter was able to lift the bike. In my experience, the most remarkable aspect of the ratchet was that I could easily adjust the bike/lift minutely with only one hand. This is a real advantage when working on things such as removing and installing a Also, the compact design of this lift makes it a great option if you have a tight garage compared to hydraulic ones or table lifts. This is a highly recommended book.

I would say the quality is shabby, but it is usable and worth the money if patience is applied
4/5

The one thing I can say is to read the instructions and make sure all the bolts are tight. As noted in the setup instructions, you must lubricate the lift drive before use. I imagine that some did not and may have had issues as a result. The bolts holding the lift drive tension weren't as snug as I would have liked, and there were several bolts that weren't as tight as I would have liked. it works well after a little adjustment and lubrication. It worked for me when I changed my tires and when I replaced the clutch on my VZ800, I experienced no problems with its You get a great deal for the money.

I like it very much
5/5

My 2015 Harley Iron 883 will use this. The jack has only been used to lift one end of the bike at a time. A stable and easy-to-use product that has been available since its debut. As a bonus, the lift screw came with a noticeable layer of grease on it, but I also purchased Lucas HD grease for it. Even though the top rubber padding marrs quite easily, it hasn't been worn down to the bare metal yet, so it's all surface stuff so far. The bike weighs about 560 lbs wet, and I have sat on it while it rested on the jack with the front tire down and the rear tire almost down (still spinnable with force) and I weigh 250 lbs. The structural integrity of the building held up very well. There can be some challenges in positioning under the frame, but that is the bike's problem, not the jack's. This is a highly recommended product.

The product is built to very low and sloppy tolerances and looks nice but doesn't work well
4/5

There is a lot of places on the tote or handle where one can pinch your fingers, so be careful when carrying it around. I've had it for about six months, and I use it for my dirt bike whenever I can. of the stand is very good however, I would have found it more preferable if it did not have a slop from the side to side, but I am not sure why they couldn't have made it with a There may be a need to use an extra block of wood to get the height I need on some bikes, not a big deal, just something
to keep in mind. In this case, I set the stand up crossways to the transverse axis of the bike, which should be how most people would use it, making the slop motion a front to back motion rather than side to side, which would be quite.

ABOUT THIS LIFT STAND IS THE TRUTH
5/5

IF YOU WANT VALUE, THIS IS IT! Despite the fact that it is heavy duty and well built, it arrived in two days, was incredibly easy to use, and required no

This was my first year owning a motorcycle, so I was intimidated about getting it out of my Wisconsin garage This was so easy to use that I was amazed! The center of gravity of the bike can be found online (look up), and the socket key provided turns it. Two minutes were enough for me to complete the job. As I got the bike off the floor, I was stunned at how easily it was to do so. To make the socket key turn, I thought I would have a difficult time. This is not the case. To put things in perspective, I have a Yamaha Bolt (473 lbs/198 kg) and I'm not a super-tough My fitness isn't that good, but neither am I weak. When it is difficult for you to turn the socket key, just use a crescent wrench (I had to do a little research to find out what this tool is called!) to make it a lot Unless otherwise stated, this review has not been compensated or paid for. There is no doubt that it is a GREAT product for an AMAZING.
