These are a few tips to get you started Raising the front of the quad using ramps is the best way to do this. The skid plate needs to be removed Trimming the tape to fit will allow it to be reinstalled. The outer brackets can be held up with zip ties while the center bracket is being tested. Secure the outer brackets, and then tightly bolt the center bracket. Once everything is tightened, begin to tighten it. It's okay to have the plow tubes somewhat loose, but you will likely have to adjust them when you attach them. We needed 2 people for this and it took about an hour.
I received other ones that they sent back but I could tell they were heavier.
The longevity and strength of the plow are not accessible to me as I have yet to use it to push snow with my atv, however it is easy to install and I like how it is universal. It would have been better to invest in this first and then buy.
This led to the original skid plate being reused, as I drilled holes through the plastic to allow for the u-bolt to pass through. Pass through holes for bolts. To cut it, I used a 1/2" drill and made a few cuts with a knife.
Try out different styles of u-locks. Choose what works best for your situation there are a lot of options to choose from.
The product is fantastic.
It wasn't the right fit for us.
I installed it on my 2001 King Quad and it worked fine.
