Over the years, I've used a variety of tank bags. Size was critical for the 07 KLR I've been "modifying. " I'd increased the number to six. A low-profile Sargent seat and a 6-gallon IMS tank. I use the bike for 75% off road, trail riding and when I need to stand on the pegs and move around I cannot have a tank bag that gets in the way I can This bag has remained leak-free despite heavy rains and water crossings. Riding in a cloud of dust on dirt roads for the entire day and none of it made it into the tank bag. It hasn't moved since I cinched it down tight the first time I installed it. I keep my valuables in my tank bag, such as my wallet, phone, and camera, so I can rely on it. The Wolfman tank bag was a lot more expensive than some of the others I've tried, but I think it was a good investment because of how well it performed.
This Wolfman Enduro tank bag is one of my favorites, but there are a few things to keep in mind. First, the straps on the Yamaha WR250R are too short if the instructions are followed to the letter. I could have gotten it to fit on the tank somehow, but I decided I'd rather have the bag on the back fender anyway, so that's where I mounted it. The bag is a little pricey in my opinion (see photo). Although it appears to be a high-quality item, I believe it is at least $50 overpriced; however, if it lasts a long time, it may be worthwhile. It's a good size, and it comes with a removable pocket. On a dual-boot system, this is very useful for some extra storage space. WR, for example, is a sport bike.
I'm a Wolfman fan and have used their gear since the beginning of time. I thought the removable "waist strap pocket" was a gimmick and would only use it as an internal pocket, which it is far too small for and the straps take up valuable space. If they get rid of the funky detachable pocket and replace it with an internal mesh pocket, a key chain hook, and either a divider or some elasticized loops for organization, they'll have a winner that's worth the premium price. As it stands, there are better options available for significantly less money.
I recently received this bag, and I believe it will be adequate for my needs. I believe that using one male and one female flex clip on the front of the bag, as well as the same on the back of the bag, would be a good idea for a positive change. If you're not using the bag, you can clip the webbing together so the clips don't get lost and the bag doesn't blow around in the wind.
Other tank bags were too big for my IMS replacement tank, so I returned them. This one appears to be more appropriate. It works fine, despite the fact that it is still close to my legs. It would be nice if there was a pass-through opening for a phone charging cable.
My deciding factors were waterproofness, build quality, and the use of the same sized webbing and buckles as my other Wolfman products (in case field repairs are required). br>br>Would be five stars if the harness was designed to stay in place even if the bag was removed.
Fits ok. I like it because it's well-made. Install it on a Yamaha XT250 from the year 2022.
It should not be excessively large. The construction quality is exceptional.
