It isn't quite as soft as it appears to be. This was purchased for my son's bike helmet, as he rides his bike to school. It's very roomy and easily adjustable in size, but I'm not sure how it'd work on a motorcycle visor. You might be able to protect the helmet by wrapping it in cloth.
If you expect to be completely dry, I would still suggest getting a backpack rain cover. It will be dry inside, but not so much outside in the event of heavy rain. I'm referring to the fact that you'll have to hang it up to dry.
My dual sport helmet is too big for me. Without the brim, I believe it would be appropriate.
Yes, there is an adjustable strap across the chest and another across the lower abdomen to keep it tighter on your back.

I love everything about it and use it for everything other than riding. I use it for everything from hiking to fishing to securing my crutches in the bag while riding.
The bag appears to be well made at first glance, but after only 1,000 miles of riding on my motorcycle, I have to change my mind. To begin with, I'm not sure what the title means by "waterproof," but I did ride in the rain and everything in my bag became soaked from what was only a 20-minute downpour. 30 minutes on the highway in a light drizzle. The straps, on the other hand, do not stay in place, which is my main gripe. Several times during my ride, the lower waist strap simply dislodged itself from the friction-based tightening straps. The part where you tighten it down, not the plastic clip, was coming apart. It's as if the strap's fabric is too thin and doesn't generate enough friction to keep the strap in place. Finally, after only 1,000 miles on my back, the back pack is beginning to show signs of wear. The fabric on your back has frayed due to the back pack bouncing around on your back.
This backpack has features that are found in higher-priced backpacks. I have two back packs for riding my motorcycle, and this is the one I use the most because it has a lot of straps for customizing the fit and has a lot of space with internal pockets. Some have two zippered pockets, one that is just a slot, and a laptop slot with a strap. The helmet holder can be collapsed or expanded. The shoulder straps and back padding have plenty of padding and are comfortable even when carrying a heavy load on or off the bike; the shoulder straps can even be unstrapped and tucked away under the back padding if you want to tie the bag down to the back of your bike; and all of the buckles, zippers, velcro, and straps are extremely durable. I haven't tested this for water resistance, but based on the rest of the bag, I don't think it will let you down. Water could only enter through the zipper, which is protected.
This bag was purchased for a cross-country trip, but I thought it would look good on my sissy bar. It was packed and zipped up with plenty of room to spare after that. When I put some weight on the bag to help me get up off the floor (I'm only 160 pounds), the seam popped. I didn't even attempt to repair it because if it had popped thousands of miles away from home, I would have been completely messed up, and all the other seams would have been the same. br>The bag looks nice and has a lot of storage space, but if it can't do its main job well, or at all, then it's not worth your time. br>I only gave it a 5 star for water resistance because I didn't have the opportunity to test it.
One broken seam is tolerable, but two broken seams is unforgivable. Every single seam on this backpack is ripping apart. The straps are just about to come undone. Straps he doesn't even use are dangling and becoming loose. This isn't even worth a.
This item is not waterproof, despite what the title and description claim. Quality materials and construction are not to be expected. It isn't worth the $45. It doesn't even have adequate back padding to keep it from being too flimsy. If you're trying to fit a regular size helmet into the harness, this won't help. br>br>This is just your standard generic materials repurposed to look like a high-end pack. Keep the $45 and spend it on something else.
This purchase was a good buy. It appears to be of good quality, and there have been no issues with it so far.
