Yes, this style is better because it provides more traction when loading or unloading, particularly if you've been riding in muddy conditions.
To bring my bike in, I use my stand. It's just a stepping stone for getting it into the truck for me. Unloading is the same way; I keep my finger on the front brake the entire time.
Excellent ramps for loading and unloading my snowblower from my pickup truck.

I chose these because they fold up and have restraining straps to keep the ramp firmly in place against the tailgate. Without any assistance, I was able to load and unload the garden tractor safely. It's best to have a spotter on hand. The width of the ramp and the strength of the construction gave me confidence.
I didn't like how it collapsed as I was loading my UTV onto my trailer, which is only 24 inches high, and almost rolled it over onto its side; I would have rolled my UTV if I had been loading it into a truck, which is higher than the trailer. Right now, I'm not happy because I need to change the way I load my UTV for future use.
It didn't arrive as quickly as I'd hoped, but that was due to UPS's fault, as is customary.
It really works!.
It is both light and tough. When loading into a truck, just remember to use the included strap.
and was able to withstand the weight of our HD trike while being loaded into a trailer We loaded the trike with three people.
This is what I use to load and unload my dirt bikes into my truck. It's a fantastic product that's both light and strong. So far, everything has gone well.
The welds appear to be a mess. It will be interesting to see how long it lasts.
