Questions & Answers

Is it possible to "unhinge" this ramp to create two separate ramps? Is it possible to "pull the hinge pin" on a 70-inch wide atv to widen the ram?

Separating the two pieces could alter the load factor, so I'd be cautious about what I loaded. I believe the weight limit was 1500 pounds. But it's made in China, and who do you contact if it breaks? It works great for my honda rancher, but given the size of some of the new large 1000cc 4x4's, I'm not sure I'd trust this aluminum model.

States takes 1–2 months to arrive. Do you agree?

Within a week, you will receive your order.

What is the distance between the spokes? Is it possible that they are too wide for a standard lawn mower tire (front tire)?

The spokes are 4 inches apart, and I bought the 50-inch wide ramp because I needed it to load an atv. I didn't want the tires protruding past the ramp's edge. You might be able to get away with a 45-inch wide ramp if you're loading lawn mowers. The ramp I bought has exceeded my expectations.

This is an excellent ramp
5/5

This is an excellent ramp. My truck is a GMC Sierra 2500 HD, and my ATV is a Polaris Sportsman 500. Because the ramp is long, it lowers the incline and makes the climb much easier. It's safer to transport your ATV to the bed of your pickup in the rain or snow, when other ramps are slick. This ramp is far superior to the type that consists of two separate ramps (one for each tire). The welding is a little sloppy, but I quickly fixed it with a file on all of the sharp edges.

For motorcycles, this is not a good situation
3/5

I have a Suzuki Volusia 800, and even with taller tires, loading a bike is a pain. For starters, the entire thing is very straight, so the angle at the top catches the center of the bike, leaving you balancing a bike weighing hundreds of pounds without being able to go up or down, and going backwards is very scary, especially if it's just you. Second, due to the weight of the bike and scraping the underside, the rods have easily bent, causing damage to my tailpipe. Otherwise, it appears to be a good ramp for other purposes, and would probably be fine for an ATV. Unless you're on a motorcycle, of course. Obtain something with a slight incline at the top.

Good product at a good price, but be careful if you use it on a two-wheeler vs
5/5

a four-wheeler. Good product, but if you're going to ride a motorcycle up on this, I strongly advise you to tie down 18" of 1/2 plywood with heavy duty ty straps in several locations (drill holes through plywood so you can strap around supports). This should be done on both the leading and trailing edges. This prevents horizontal rods from becoming bent. You wouldn't have any issues with a four-wheel vehicle, but the rods on my Harley Duna Glide broke free and others bent quite a bit on the leading and trailing edges. Since my "fix," I have had no problems.

Good price, light weight, and well-made product! This was the lightest and best-priced ramp that didn't look like a piece of junk after extensive research
4/5

Some people claimed that it had rough edges, but mine didn't. Although the grid makes it easy to step on and push without slipping, I imagine that some people wearing smaller shoes might be concerned about stepping through the holes. I like how you can fold it open after laying it on the bed.

This is something I wish I had known ten years ago
5/5

My husband has an ATV and previously had two separate ramps. He managed to tip the ATV off three times, resulting in no serious injuries, but he did get his foot trapped twice and managed to free himself. He now claims that this ramp is well worth the money because it is wider, longer, folds up smaller, and fits in the bed of his Ford 150 (8' box). He plans to padlock it to the bed when ice fishing to deter people from relocating valuables, but he is more than satisfied.

Loading is now much safer
5/5

When loading a tall truck, longer ramps are much safer than shorter ramps. I had no issues hooking up my Grizzly 700 to my F250. The four-wheeler does not appear to be swaying in any way. When folded, they protrude from the back, but I simply tuck them under the 4x4 and secure them with a bungee cord across the tailgate.

Very well done
5/5

I can't compare because this is my first ramp, but it's well made. It bi- Folds to create a total bed width ramp, eliminating the need for perfect wheel alignment. It easily handled the weight of the ATV and myself (625 pounds). It has straps to keep it in place so it doesn't fall off when loading or unloading. There were no issues with the packaging.

This will not support a weight of 1500 pounds - I'm bending under the weight of my Toro z-
3/5

Mower should be turned. For the first few months, the ramp appeared to be in good working order, and it handled my BMW R1200RT motorcycle with ease, despite some flex. I recently bought a Toro z-drive. After the third or fourth time up/down with a 1000-pound turn mower, the ramp bent out of shape. This product may be suitable for lighter loads, but I doubt it can handle 1500 pounds as claimed.
