Questions & Answers

The clutch cable and throttle cable should be the same length, right?

With the help of a soft tape measure, I measured the black protective casing. My throttle cable is 45 inches long and my clutch cable is 49 inches long.

Does it include the springs that are needed to engage the clutch lever mechanism?

Happy riding. It has always been that way with the 15 motorized bikes I have built.

Do these fit the same size bars as the originals?

Though I don't have a better idea how to get the left side to fit my standard 7/8" handlebar, I suppose where there is a will, there is a way.

If you intend to lock in a twist grip, make sure to drill a SMALL hole for the screw

I painted the aluminum end caps silver metallic nail polish and drilled out the plastic and metal hand grips for the throttle cable that connect to the plastic hand grip. The silver plating on the plastic ends of both end caps peels right off and I repainted them both with silver metallic nail polish.

You can really feel the bike moving with the thing

My handle bars fit so nicely with this gripper. There is a certain chemistry between them, and it is as if they were made for each other. Compared to the old clutch, the new clutch is a nice fit for the engine. The thickness is just right. Those bike kits seem to have a history of causing that to happen.

Having a good backup is important

You can keep this tool nearby as a backup for a motorized bike. The throttle on these bikes is made of plastic, which can break.

Buying is not a good idea

I was not happy with this because the throttle cable and clutch cable weren't included as shown. I will let Amazon know about this since they don't provide what you pay for.
