My 2014 Polaris Ranger 570 UTV is the perfect match: Instructions (wait as long as possible before tightening nuts). 1. br>br> Attach the upper angle bracket to the roll cage, almost touching the dash board, with the angle nearly parallel to the utv's long axis. Tighten these nuts just enough to allow slight rotation of the bracket with the open angle facing outward. The F-terminals This angle bracket serves as a pivot point for metal tubing parts. The F- On each side, tubing sits just beneath the carrier's outer frame (it does not protrude out or in, and the spacing is about 48", allowing for about 1/4" or more of clearance when attached to the angle bracket via quick disconnect pin). 2. br>br>1. br>br>br>br>br>br F- Bolt Attach the right and left tubing pieces to the carrier's underside. The hole spacing can be seen in the photo. Tighten the nuts, then use pins to attach the carrier. To level it, I used a rope to support the front of the carrier and an overhead support. br>br>3. Support arms should be bolted directly to the front of the carrier's welded angle bracket. The S-shaped pattern on these arms is unique. shape. They fit together perfectly, with the wide spacing on top and the narrow spacing on the bottom. To use the two included bolts, you'll need to drill out all of the support arm holes to 5/16" diameter. Place the support arms on the inside of the angle and use lock nuts to secure them. To make pivoting easier, place a thin nylon washer between the bracket and the support arm. 4. br>br> Remove the lower radiator shield, which is made of plastic. U-bolt the lower bumper to the frame Angle brackets are bolted together and allow for a small amount of rotation. Choose the shortest bracket option from the two options available. I purchased two additional 5/16" bolts that were approximately the same size as the included 5/16" bolts or slightly longer. I used these new bolts, a nylon washer, a steel washer, a lock washer (purchased), and the included plastic knobs with embedded nut to attach the support arms to the lower angle brackets. Tighten all connections after adjusting the carrier's level by pulling up on the support arms. 5. br>br> Since the U-slot in the radiator guard is a little higher, cut it a little higher to improve fit. Bolts get in the way a little. You don't have to do this, but if you don't, the shield will appear bent. Use a black washer under the screw to conceal the enlarged hole. Cutting into the top of the shield will weaken it, so avoid doing so. 6. br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br> Install the two thickest nylon spacers at the top of the U-shape. To compensate for slack at removable pins, bolt brackets are used. See pic. br>br>Note that if you follow these instructions, the carrier should fit perfectly and you should be able to easily pivot it to the ground after removing the pins. Also, if the lower two bolts at the bumper are removed, the carrier and support arms can be removed, leaving the u-bolt in place. Brackets are fastened to the wall with bolts. Because the carrier blocks the view a little, this will make the UTV more trail ready.
(2) Because making a custom fit rack for every UTV would be prohibitively expensive, Great Day provides a wide range of brackets and 1" square tubing shapes to choose from. Aluminum brackets with a thickness of 14 inches are used. Although the square tubing is thinner, I cut bushings to fit inside the tubes and allow me to tighten the bolts firmly. br>(3) Using only basic shop hand tools and a porta-potty, I completed the installation you see. a band, and a drill that isn't corded I'm not a mechanic or a machinist, either.
In general, it accomplishes its objectives. It's a rack for storing and transporting UTVs. Good manufacturing. br>br> (This is my second purchase of a Great Day product. ) However, on my 2019 Kubota Sidekick, the universal mounting capability did not work as intended. I attempted to contact Great Day but was unsuccessful. no reply. (This isn't encouraging). To make this product work, I had to cut and modify several mounting arms, which you should not have to do. br>br>In the end, the rack was installed, it looks great, and it works perfectly.
I bought this because I couldn't find one for my Chinese knockoff (Tractor Supply Massimo Buck 400) UTV. The rack is well-made and sturdy in its own right. In addition, the mounting hardware is sturdy. The front's square support tubes are a little flimsy, but they can be easily buttressed. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE EXTREMELY BAD. However, once you have a general idea of what needs to be done, it is relatively simple to carry out. The front bumper is connected by three different pairs of square front tubes. There are a few different mounting bracket sets available as well. It's a complete guessing game when it comes to the nuts and bolts.
I bought mine a few years ago and I absolutely love it; it gives me so much extra space and is extremely well-made and light-weight. Because you have to custom fit it to your UTV, it took about 2 hours to put together, but I'm glad I bought it!.
Make sure all of the necessary bolting and brackets are included in the packaging as soon as you receive it. They were almost entirely missing from our shipment, but the company promptly dispatched replacements. It's a pleasure to work with this company, and the product is of high quality. This seller and the rack come highly recommended by me. This was purchased for a Honda Pioneer 2014 four-seat side-by-side. I would suggest the rack and the machine.
Front mounted on a Polaris Ranger 800XP. It worked out well, but it wasn't quite the right fit. To find the best fit, you can choose from a variety of brackets. None of them were "ideal" for my needs. It all works, but I can't get to the front storage and battery compartment without using wrenches because I can't flip up the rack. Unless I need to charge the battery, this isn't a major issue. This is a large and heavy-duty rack. There's plenty of room to mount scabbards while still leaving room for packs.
My RZR's back rack was where I mounted it. The product is excellent, and there are numerous mounting options. It took some tinkering to get the mounting to work properly, but it was worth it.
