Adaptors were installed in a 2004 Honda CRV (2002-2004). 2006). It's simple to set up, and if the speakers you choose are a little too big, it's simple to adjust them. Adaptors are a good fit for the front doors. The back doors don't quite fit perfectly because the door design causes the adaptors to bend slightly on one side, preventing the speakers from fitting flush. However, by shaving off enough of the adaptor to clear the bend in the metal, or by using silicone to fill in the gap where the speaker does not sit flush, this can be corrected. Overall, they are perfect CRV adaptors, and they were the only ones I could find for the CRV, so I am extremely pleased with them. The speaker installation went off without a hitch, and it's a huge improvement over the crappy OEM speakers! It comes highly recommended!.
The first one I received was damaged during shipping, so we had to return it. Then we received the replacement and discovered that we needed to cut off multiple parts, and even then, the speaker wouldn't fit flush. As a result, we ordered a new set, which worked perfectly.
Keep in mind that the material can wear through the screw holes if you are not careful. This was the perfect fit for my 6. Honda Accord front door speakers. There are five pioneer speakers. However, when mounting the screw and washer with the nut, do not apply excessive torque. Because I wasn't paying attention, I drove the mounting screw all the way through the ring. When it tightens up, you can see it digging in. On the screw head side, I had to cover the hole with a washer.
I couldn't use the adapter because it was too shallow for the speakers I bought. It would be much better if they were just a tad deeper so that the 6. A 5" speaker basket would be able to fit through the hole.
These are currently available on Ebay for $6. These are low-cost plastic rings that bolt to your door rather than snapping in like factory speakers. It claims to have a 5 1/2-inch opening that can accommodate a 6-inch speaker. My speaker's basket was exactly 5 1/2 inches in diameter, according to my measurements. The speaker barely fit inside the ring, and when I tightened it, the ring cracked open. You can get this for a lot less elsewhere, so save your money.
The aviation nuts and bolts used to secure them to the door are a nice touch that keeps them from rattling loose. For my full-length mirror, I needed to add an extra spacer. Normal Slimline speakers, as well as depth speakers, will easily fit. The kit came with everything it needed to get started. If you've ever mounted speakers before, this will be a breeze.
These will fit perfectly in the front and rear doors of a 2006 Acura TSX. If you're setting up version 6, You'll need to modify these speaker adapters if you're using 75-inch speakers like I did. I'm not sure what they're made of, but they feel like hard cardboard, are almost paper-like in weight, and are very easy to cut with my dremel tool. To make the opening larger enough to fit the 6, I had to shave away at it. The speaker is 75 inches in diameter.
In 02', you'll receive everything you'll need to make a speaker mount. HONDA CRV (2006 model) You'll need these to replace the stock speakers because they come with a mount edge. They are extremely effective. It's simple to put together and will fit the aftermarket 6 perfectly. a 5" sound system.
