Questions & Answers
It should be simple to set up.
They do, in fact. With all the controls, it's a fantastic stereo. It's not a cheap stereo, but it sounds fantastic on my bike. I debated whether I wanted to spend the extra money, but after trying out a few different radios, I decided to go for it. If music is an important part of your ride, it's well worth the money.
I had a 2013 Ultra Limited 110th anniversary issue that was perfect for the job.
I'm not sure what amp I'm using, but it seems to be working fine. I connect the stereo to the amplifier, then to both front and rear speakers.
Selected User Reviews For Rockford Fosgate PMX-HD9813 Replacement Radio with Smartphone Connection for 1998-2013 Harley-Davidson
I bought this radio to replace the one that came standard with my 2008 Ultra Classic. I liked the idea of it being a direct replacement/plug-and-play unit for the factory-installed radio, so I decided to give it a shot after doing some research. It took me a while to justify spending so much money on a receiver, but I had already purchased another radio that claimed to be a true plug-and-play unit before this one. I quickly realized that if you wanted to use your rear speakers, you'd have to splice some of the wires in the 35 pin wire bundle. So, when I got this one, I double-checked that it had the rear connection 23 pin connector as well as the second 35 pin connector for the ultra-classic rear speakers and controls. br>br>After receiving and installing this Rockford Fosgate receiver, I can confidently state that it is a direct replacement / plug-and-play device. THANK YOU SO MUCH. It was a simple installation with perfect alignment. I'm connecting it to an older amplifier, and it sounds fantastic! It comes with all of the latest features, such as Bluetooth, a clock, a display dimmer, and everything else you'd expect from a Rockford Fosgate product. And, of course, it thumps and thumps. br>br>I'm hoping to be able to enjoy it for a long time. I apologize for the poor quality of the photo; I was in a rush.
Wow, that's all I have to say. I replaced my factory radio on my 2007 Road Glide and this unit is a direct fit, plugs were the same, mounting points were the same, handle bar controls work, fits the opening the same and looks great, and the blue tooth connection sounds just as good as the USB connection. Last year I added a Fosgate 400 watt amp and two Polk audio speakers to make four speakers, but the sound was ehh with the OEM deck. I finished this last night and rode this morning and wow what clarity and sound, I researched for a couple months and looked at less expensive units, but it's not an easy job and there's too much mud on there reviews, so I spent the extra money and it's well worth it.
This radio station is fantastic! It was a breeze to install on my 2012 Street Glide. It gives the bike a more modern appearance, and the sound quality is significantly improved. The Bluetooth connection is also excellent, and it even allows me to share album art from my phone. I would strongly suggest it.
Radio is fantastic. Harmon Kardon factory sound is far superior. Pandora connects easily, as does the mp3 player, and Bluetooth works flawlessly and pairs every time. The display is a little difficult to see in direct sunlight, but that's no big deal if the music is blasting! It looks great in the Road Glide's faring, and installation was as simple as it gets (except for reinstalling the faring, which is a pain in the buttocks). If you're in the market for a new radio, this is a must-have. I looked at the Aquatic radios, but they didn't appeal to me. Rockford Fosgate, in my opinion, is far superior.
Pandora, Sirius XM, Bluetooth, USB, and the SiriusXM SXV300v1 tuner are all included in the HD9813 stereo system. EVERYTHING is in perfect working order. The two back screws on the stereo unit are in a tight space, so installation was quick but not without effort; however, if you have the right tools, it should be no problem. Also, replace your cigarette lighter with a flush mount Rockford Fosgate PAUX Punch Universal Auxiliary Input Port! A Torx 25 and a 3/16 Allen Wrench are required! Pandora and Sirius XM are in perfect sync, and the sound is incredible!.
This is an excellent purchase; it is a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for with this radio; it is a true replacement for a Harley Davidson radio, model 08 ultra classic. The phrase "plug and play" is absolutely correct. It was simple to set up and plug in. It also sounds like a lot of fun.
just wow. This headunit replaced an Aquatic headunit that had been badly engineered. br>WOW, what a difference. The RCA outputs at high levels DO NOT CLIP! br>Pair it with a RF T400x4 and four 6 volt batteries. Prepare to be amazed with 5" speakers. Yes, it is pricey, but WOW!.
Overstock, this is an excellent unit. Bluetooth syncs seamlessly with my iPod, the display is crisp and clear, and the controls are simple to use; in short, you'll be pleased.
