I debated whether to buy this or the OEM, but ultimately chose to try this. After all was said and done, I should not have tried to save money by going OEM. br>br>There is no alignment notch like on the OEM, which makes getting the image level a lot of fun. br>br>The most serious issue is that switching to the front camera requires a few seconds of waiting while the image scrolls down from the top in a strange overlapping image. This isn't an issue for the original equipment manufacturer. The image isn't as clear as either the OEM back or front cameras. br>br>The final issue is that the image isn't as clear as it could be. It was much easier to see the back camera with it installed than the front camera. The front had a grainier look to it than the back. br>br>I gave it three stars because it did not advertise itself as OEM and it worked for the most part. However, I use the OEM camera as a benchmark, and this camera falls short. However, if you are willing to sacrifice quality for a reasonable cost savings, it is possible to do so.
It arrived quickly, was simple to set up, and has worked flawlessly after several rides. My only criticism is that Polaris did not design software to keep the front camera on at all speeds. I swear I'm not going to try to drive solely with the front camera. 🤔😁.
It does what it should, but having it up there makes no sense.
Great product, easy to install, no issues, and looks great and fits just right. Great insulation for all types of rain and weather.
Plugging it in, mounting it, and using it were all a breeze. I'm in ecstasy right now.
For the 2020 Polaris RZR pro xp, installation instructions are required. Unlike previous models, this one is difficult to install.
First and foremost, I was unaware that the camera was not the original. I would not have purchased it if I had known. I'm going to own up to my mistake. However, because this camera is a $20 universal automotive backup camera with no grid lines and a pigtail soldered on that will connect into the factory prewired connector, getting the camera orientation correct was more difficult than it should have been. It is not worth the five dollars. 00 less than the Polaris camera I had planned to purchase.
