The headset isn't perfect, but I have to give it a 5 star rating for that one At such a low price, it does its primary function of communication very well. If I had paid $100 or more per headset, I would be disappointed in the quality. This headset is one of the three that I own, and I enjoy using it for streaming music, making phone calls, listening to FM radio, as well as talking to some friends. In my conversation with my passenger, I would tell him about my son who was on another bike. I would then reveal “The Good”, “The Okay” and “Has to be Improved”. The bracket must be handled with care! UPDATE on advice regarding the "stuttering" issue. It is a good receiver but the bracket is too flimsy as another reviewer indicated. Having had these units for a while and now that the snow is gone and the weather is above 30 degrees, I finally got to ride them. As I was expecting to ride, I installed the headset inside my helmet and tested it out. In my opinion, the volume issues are related to improper placement of the speakers and not to the sound of the speakers themselves. Placing them behind pads will have the following effect No one will be able to hear you! Clearly, the speakers need to be placed in the spaces between the In order to attach a receiver to the helmet, you need to attach the plastic bracket. That alone is an issue for me. attempt at clipping the receiver into it was frustrating because it's difficult to get the clip to lock in place Which I suppose you would like so it does not simply fall out as you ride. There was a problem with the bracket that snapped just above the screws, so it wasn't holding all that tightly any longer. While I can use the adhesive bracket that came with it, it can only be used with one helmet at a time. It ships with two sets of velcro for attaching the speakers, so if you ride two at once, it's a lot easier If you play a sport and have a street and a trail helmet It would be convenient if you could switch between the road helmet and the bike helmet. That option is no longer available to me, which is frustrating. Update The 13th of July, 2018 Since I have owned the unit, I have used it three times. Now that it has been five months since the streaming function began to fail, a complete failure has been observed. There are random stutters and skips in the music. After contacting FreedConn, I was told to send the unit to China to be looked at. Taking into consideration the shipping costs are almost as much as the actual purchase price, I expect to be without the unit for weeks or possibly even A brief update This page was last updated on August 13, 2018. I've figured out how to resolve the music skipping issue I have been able to eliminate the problem by turning off the WiFi on the phone. As a result, I've am going to contact FreedConn to I have updated the review There is a possibility that this issue was caused by the recent Android Oreo update. If they offered firmware updates for the same reason that Android updates are prone to causing future problems, this would be great. *Update Today is 10/15/19 and tomorrow is 10/16/19 In my case, this unit is still operational. The problem with the WiFi didn't affect my use of it on my commute, so I've had no issues with the music since then. I am upgrading the rating to four stars for two years of heavy usage at a reasonable price. The unit appears to work fine and its battery life appears not to be an issue at this time That's impressive!.

My Bluetooth device installed very easily on my helmet, and they provide a number of different ways to do so. It seemed that the instructions were straightforward and easy to understand. It comes with a small circular speaker and microphone that can be attached to the inside of your helmet using Velcro and/or double-sided While it isn't impressive, the sound quality is decent (depending on your helmet's ability to isolate wind noise), nothing crazy, but nothing bad either. And still, I'm a fan of the functionality and I've received calls while riding. After listening to music at almost full volume for several hours, I would estimate that the battery lasted around 10 hours or so. It takes me 30-45 minutes to ride 30 miles on average That would mean not charging for about 3 weeks if you used it for 45 minutes every day. I am very please with this purchase and I am very happy with it in general. And also! I washed my hands with water It has been resistant to light rain and has lasted a long time!.
