Product Description

By entering your model number, you can make sure that this fits.
The all-new GENIUS2X4 is similar to the G4, but it's even better. It is 40% smaller and delivers 140% more power than other models. It's a four-bank solution that includes a battery charger, a battery maintainer, a trickle charger, and a battery desulfator.
Multiple banks - A four-bank battery charger maintainer rated at 8 amps (2 amps per bank) is designed to charge and maintain a variety of vehicles including cars, motorcycles, boats, ATVs, RVs, lawn mowers, lawn tractors, trucks, and more.
Designed for 6-volt and 12-volt lead-acid automotive, marine, and deep-cycle batteries, including flooded, gel, AGM, and maintenance-free, as well as lithium-ion batteries, Genius lets you get more done.
Enjoy precise charging - A built-in thermal sensor detects the ambient temperature and adjusts the charge to avoid overcharging in hot climates and undercharging in cold climates.
Charge dead batteries - Charges batteries as low as 1-volt, or use the all-new force mode to take control and start charging dead batteries down to zero volts manually.
Automatically detects battery sulfation and acid stratification to restore lost battery performance, resulting in faster engine starts and longer battery life.
It's more than just a trickle charger; it's a sophisticated battery maintainer. A worry-free, fully automatic battery charger for everyday use - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - with no overcharging.

Questions & Answers

Why does it keep saying reverse polarity when I combine two extensions? Is it okay if I use one?

We're sorry to hear you're experiencing difficulties. To ensure that both extensions work, test each one separately. If this is the case, the charger's ability to correctly sense the battery may be harmed by the lengthened D/C cable with both extensions in place.

Will this be enough to keep a four-battery bank running on a semi truck?

It can charge all types of batteries and will charge four separate batteries at two amps per bank. I have three agm batteries and one wet cell battery charged and maintained at the same time.

Is it possible to set each bank to perform differently, for example? The first is to force charge a dead battery, the second is to charge a 1vdc battery, and the third is to maintain?

Yes, each bank can have a distinct role to play. There's nothing in the documentation that I've seen yet that says you can't put one bank into Force mode (by pressing the button manually) while the others charge. Standby, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, 6-, volt, 12- volt, 12- AGM, 12 volts, 12 volts, 12 volts, 12 Lithium volts and Force are two words that come to mind when thinking about this product.

Hello, will this charger work with the following vehicles: bmw x5 2021 sdrive40i, honda accord 2014 exl, and Toyota Highlander 2008 standard?

Because this is a battery charger, the answer is yes if the vehicles you mentioned contain batteries. On my Optima AGM Batteries, it works perfectly.

Although it was well constructed, it did not perform as expected
3/5

I was expecting a lot from this, but I was let down. I debated between this and the Optima Digital 1200, but in the end, I chose the Noco because of the additional leads and the fact that I have a lot of batteries to maintain over the winter. It's possible that my experience would have been different if I only needed this for battery maintenance. br>br>The Noco is a well-made machine. It was great that it came with four extension leads and that it could be mounted on the wall. It was a breeze to put together the operation. I just wish it had done what it was supposed to do and charged everything. It's possible that I was the unfortunate recipient of a dud. I'd be happy with a Noco unit if I knew it would work right out of the box. I don't believe I got that, and I wouldn't have trusted a replacement completely. br>br>My first job was to restore an optima red top that had been sitting in a garage for the winter. The car has a small voltage leak somewhere, which is unusual for a car that needs to be charged at the start of the season. I was able to use this to start the battery's cycle by forcing a charge into it. Before displaying a battery error, this would get to about 75% before showing a battery error. The battery had gone bad, so it was a little eerie, but it was all right. In a minute, we'll return to this. br>br>The next step was to charge my motorcycle battery slowly. I had already charged it with a cheap Walmart charger, but I wanted to see what it could do with the battery optimization. I thought I had charged the battery beyond what the trickle charger indicated. Light steady green, go for a ride on a nice afternoon; this bike isn't injected, so it takes a little cranking with the choke to get it started. I was able to get it to spin for ten minutes. On a cold start, I would typically need around 30 seconds total, but the battery started clicking before I could get there. I had dropped to a new low. This perplexed me because before I put it on the Noco, it would crank for a few minutes like this if necessary. Before the battery died, I could have started it in the dead of winter at 0 degrees. I tried putting this back on the charger for a few days, thinking it was a fluke, but I couldn't get it to crank long enough, and it would start no problem before putting on the Noco thanks to the cheap walmart charger. br>br>At the same time, I topped off the ATV and lawnmower. The lawnmower started up without any difficulty. The ATV cranked for a while, but it's from 84, so it's normal for it to crank for a long time before starting. I didn't do my usual started fluid assist because I wanted to see if there was a motorcycle problem here, and it did crank for a long time, as I would expect. br>br>I contacted Noco support about this. I was unprepared for the number of questions they asked; they do want to know the battery's make and model, as well as the voltage reading from a voltmeter, but I was eventually told that if I didn't think it was working properly, I could get a warranty. They'd then test and replace as needed, based on the results of their testing. I decided to exchange because I had just purchased it on Amazon. Instead, I went with the Optima Digital 1200, and things seem to be going great so far.

The claim about maintenance is FALSE
3/5

Despite the fact that this device claims to be able to charge up to 40 Ah and maintain any battery size, it is not designed to do so. I bought the unit with the intention of keeping four batteries charged throughout the winter. This device could maintain two fully charged deep cycle batteries of 50 Ah and 70 Ah, but it could not maintain two fully charged deep cycle batteries of 50 Ah and 70 Ah, which began charging each time the device was turned on. The device never satisfies its charge status with large batteries, even those that are 100% state of charge and 97% state of health. It stays in charge mode for 5 days, with the batteries bubbling up and down, never reaching the optimization or maintenance phases. The device is turned off with a bad battery symbol after 5 days due to the safety time limit. NOCO customer service suggested that I pay for my own shipping for a warranty claim in which they "tested" the unit and then sent me a replacement. Because it's a design flaw, not a defect, the new unit has the same problem as the old one, and all of this troubleshooting has pushed me past the return window. Although I believe the product is of good build quality, it does not perform the functions that are advertised.

It was purchased with the intention of permanently connecting four batteries, but the eyelits do not fit
3/5

I bought this charger to permanently connect to my in-vehicle batteries, which have 5/16" or 3/8" screw down battery posts like most cars and boats. You can do this because the eyelits on the clamps can be removed; however, the eyelits are only 6mm in diameter, or just under 1/4". This is not their place of employment. They sell extra eyelit connectors for $12 each, so for an extra $50, I can hook this up the way it's supposed to be hooked up. Otherwise, I'll have to solder my own connectors, voiding any warranty I might have.

When it works, it's a good multi-batteries charger
3/5

I purchased this charger on Prime Day and finally installed it four days ago, and everything appeared to be in working order. However, two days later, port 3 is now flashing, indicating that the unit is overheating and unable to function. When I emailed support, they said it sounded like the unit was defective and that I should send it in for a replacement under warranty. I'm a little annoyed that my brand new unit needs to be replaced after only three days, but at least support responded quickly. I'm hoping they'll send me a replacement unit as quickly as they said they would, rather than the 4 to 6 weeks they said they'd take. The warranty on this unit is for three years, so hopefully this won't happen again. Unfortunately, because I waited so long to set it up, I am now past Amazon's return/replacement period. I have another charger from this company that hasn't given me any problems, so hopefully this is just bad luck, but only time will tell. I was impressed by the overall construction of this unit and the accessories that came with it, but something under the hood appears to be less than ideal. br>Update No. 1: When I contacted NOCO support, they responded quickly and efficiently, providing me with an RMA claim form. Only the shipping costs, which were $30 to ship to the factory in Arizona, remain to be paid. So far, my Prime Day purchase hasn't turned out to be the bargain I was hoping for. I had hoped that the company would have offered them a discounted shipping option, but no such luck. More information will be forthcoming.
