The BAD: Cort is being charged too quickly
3/5

For about 6 months, I didn't even take it out of the box- a lengthy tale Anyway, when I finally got around to mounting the charger on the ceiling of our cart barn (standard room finished with an 8' ceiling), I discovered that the charging cord was insufficient. Unlike the EZGo cords, which are around 12 feet long, this cord is only about 6 feet long. To be fair, I went to Golf Cart King's website to see if they sell a longer cord; I could buy the cable and make my own, but there's some sort of scabbed cable that appears to provide feedback to the charger, so I'd have to make that as well, and then cable-wrap it around the charger. bind the entire mess together Also, based on the wire gauge, I believe I'd need to increase it to accommodate the longer cord, which would most likely cause issues with the ends. Instead, I found a spot on the wall near knee level where the charger could be mounted, so I'll see how it goes. Because I'm a bit of a safety freak, I'm concerned about the trip hazard. Still prefer it up high and out of the way on the ceiling. I have a second cart, and assuming I stick to lead acid batteries, this charger isn't an option right now because there's no other way to get close to the other cart stall than through the ceiling. I considered mounting it inside the battery well, but I live in Texas, where it gets quite hot, and I was concerned about the possibility of an explosion. br>br>THE GOOD: This is a very nice light weight unit if you can deal with the short cord or make your own extension. I took it out of the shipping box and put it in its inner box when I started the installation. Then he dropped it from the top of a six-foot ladder onto a concrete floor. I was expecting it to stop working after that, but when I plugged it in, it started charging right away. This unit would easily receive five stars if it continued to function properly and GCK resolved the cord length issue.

My batteries were fried as a result of a failure
3/5

We awoke one morning to find our garage filled with H2S and the batteries were boiling hard and very hot to the touch, despite having had a year of good experience. The cells in a few of the batteries were almost completely depleted. Four days prior, I had watered the batteries. After letting everything cool down for a few hours, I rewatered the batteries and charged them with a friend's charger; they (thankfully) worked fine and the voltages were correct. The batteries had to be replaced because they didn't last very long. When I got the cart home with the new batteries, they were already charged up to 50 volts. I made the decision to give the charger another shot. It got off to a good start with a finishing charge. . . . Then, in full charge mode, it took off! I started stinking up the garage all over again. When I used the borrowed charger on the batteries, it showed that they were fully charged right away. The Mod is defective, and I'll be returning it today under warranty. If I hadn't caught it the first time, it could have started a fire, and I now know it's bad. Yikes! We'll see how the warranty repair goes, but given my previous experience, I'm hesitant to use it again.

BAD PRODUCT AND SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER! Due to the failure of my charger, I purchased this item
3/5

I received this item, connected it, and it did not work. I assumed there was something else wrong with the cart, so I took it to my local golf cart shop, where it was discovered that the new charger was defective. I spent $80 on it. 00 to discover that I had received a defective product, and then I have to pay shipping to return it. My $250. I paid $115 for the 00 charger. 00 for a defective part, HORRIBLE PRODUCT AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.

This charger is fantastic
5/5

This charger has taken the place of my large, bulky charger. The other is just a charger, but this one has a built-in maintenance mode or Trickle Charger that keeps the batteries in good condition even after they have been charged! This is a half-size version of the EZ-Pack. It's a GO charger, and it's so small! br>br>The only thing I can think of is that the golf cart's charge light does not illuminate while it is being charged, whereas the charger illuminates the status and what it is doing, whether charging, maintaining, or fully charged. br>br>Would Highly Recommend this Charger!.

It's a fantastic product that does exactly what it says it will do
5/5

I had a question for the seller, so I emailed them, and to my surprise, Barry, from the YouTube channel DIY golf carts, called me the next day and was extremely helpful in answering questions, not only about the product, but also about some other issues he was having with my card, which I thought was very cool. I really like the new charger; it's very easy to read, and I like that it has a built-in fan, as opposed to the factory one, which always worried me because it was so hot to the touch all of the time.

Does not maintain the charge of the batteries! Only charges batteries to approximately 65% of their original capacity
3/5

My batteries are Trogen 105 s, and they are only 1 1/2 years old. I had to buy a new charger three months after purchasing this one, so don't waste your money on it. When I plugged in the new charger, the batteries quickly charged to full capacity. So far, so good with the 10L0L Golf Cart 48V 20A Battery Charger I purchased for my EZGO RXV. Works great on batteries that have voltage, but not on a 48 volt golf cart battery
5/5

Works great, but you have to show volts before it will charge a battery. It charged the 48 volt golf cart after a five-minute manual 12 volt charge on each 8-volt battery, but it also charged my other charger. br>After a long winter of setting, they were all dead.
