The battery charger for my modified 2005 EZ Go TXT golf cart had to be replaced because the old one was probably 20 years old and weighed a ton
4/5

It took a few days for this replacement to arrive, but I'm glad I waited because this unit is much lighter and easier to maneuver around my garage. We were able to charge the cart in a couple of hours and are now back on the neighborhood roads. I'm hoping this charger will last as long as the old one.

For my EZ-Charger, this is an excellent replacement
5/5

What I like best about it is that it charges three times faster than my previous less-powerful charger. It's a less expensive replacement charger that's also fully automated. Even with the fan running, it is built like a tank and is very quiet. It has a single multi-purpose interface that provides useful status information. leds in various colors I'm very pleased with it because it does exactly what it says on the tin. (Attachment to the nipples is not recommended. ) Even if it were a joke, I wouldn't say it.

Mine didn't turn out to be a success
3/5

It arrived promptly, even a day ahead of schedule. I plugged it into my 36 v EZGO that had an 80% charge left. A FULL CHARGE light should have come on fairly quickly after 8 hours of being plugged in, but it did not. For the entire 8 hours, it flashed red, low charge, and never changed to green. So either my unit is broken or it's extremely slow. Like the other reviewers, I am unable to give it more than one star. It was important to me that I fall in love with it. My older charger had recently died, so I was in desperate need of a new one. I'm sorry to say that I'll have to return.

Purchase an OEM replacement to save money
3/5

After installing new batteries a year ago, the OEM charger (15 years of service) failed. The golf course was closed for several months, and my 36-volt cart's batteries had depleted to the point where it would not charge back up. As a result of the unit, the batteries boiled, exposing the plates. I'm hoping there were no dead batteries. To fully charge the pack, I'll have to borrow an OEM charger. Don't scrimp and buy this unit; instead, replace the OEM charger with a compatible quality unit to save money and have confidence that when you take your cart out, it will run the entire round!.

This charger has made me very happy
4/5

I bought this MODZ Max36 15 Amp charger to replace my old EZ-Charger. Go ahead and charge your Golf Car. This new charger is well-made, compact, and portable. It performs admirably and includes a built-in fan as well as a heavy-duty power supply. heat sink for heavy use It starts charging your battery as soon as you plug it in. Initially, it was high ( Fully Charged (100% charged, solid green indicator), and Fully Charged (80% charged, yellow blinking indicator). You can connect it to the internet 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It will charge your battery as needed before switching to a "trickle" charge mode. br>br>Note: If you're looking for a unique way to express yourself, try using the words "creative The charger was packaged in a simple cardboard box. There is no packaging for the product. There was no product documentation in the form of an Owner's Manual. I contacted the vendor (Golf Cart King) directly, and they quickly sent me the missing product manual. In addition, the charger has a short (6-foot) cord. power (AC) and charging cords (approximately one foot) They could be a little longer, in my opinion.

It's a good price, and I like how light it is
5/5

Arrived one day ahead of schedule. I immediately put it to use, and everything has worked out perfectly so far. There is no documentation included, but instructions are printed on the unit. I'm 76 years old and have a bad back, so the light weight is a big plus. br>Update: it's been two months and it's still working perfectly. Because it's so light, I mounted it on my cart.

Trickle Charger is a fantastic product
5/5

We have an old, old EZGo golf cart, and we replaced the batteries last year for $1,000 (still a lot less than a new cart) because the old ones were pretty worn out. We've done a good job of making sure the batteries have enough distilled water, but I had no idea our old charger wasn't a trickle charger. My husband, it appears, was also uninformed about this. When we went to use the golf cart recently, we discovered it was unplugged. The charger did not work after we plugged it in. Thankfully, the batteries were not completely depleted, so I replenished them. They did not, however, appear to hold enough charge for the old charger to recharge them. They were D- as far as we knew. D, dead. I purchased a couple of jump starters after watching a few videos on YouTube. One was a big momma one ($100, but with other features), and we also got a $20 one from a brick-and-mortar superstore for good measure.

It took a day and a half of waking hours to get the power up enough for the charger to start charging,% The light was green at 7 a. m. , indicating that the batteries had reached their full charge. The traditional non-profit Based on previous experience, the trickle charger would have taken an eternity. br>br>Unlike our old charger, which only showed power to the charger and power being sent to the batteries, this charger has a variety of indicator light colors and patterns, as well as a handy guide right on the body. This was extremely helpful when I was worried about having to spend more money, as well as facing the golf cart repair guy (who had been here for about 10 months) and feeling like an idiot. br>br>This charger is about the same size and weight as our old non-rechargeable charger. Our old trickle charger wasn't huge or heavy, but neither was this one. (I suppose ours wasn't quite as large or heavy as some others. ) We don't store the golf cart away from our house, so we don't have to worry about the batteries other than making sure they have enough water in them. br>br>This charger is pricey, but so are all the other trickle chargers I looked at, and based on features and reviews, this was the best value of any of them. It saved us from having to replace at least a couple of batteries, if not all six, as well as paying someone to come out and do it for us (and the added humiliation of "we ruined our new batteries"), and it also means we should get better battery performance in the future. To put it another way, it's already paid for itself, plus some.
