The cable has a quick connect to the battery tender, which makes it a great way to keep your battery charged.
A look at: **Pigtail for 4FT Motorcycle Battery Charger Cable - Very high quality charging cable, not just for a motorcycle battery. Sae to O Ring Terminal Harness 12awg Battery Trickle Charger Lead Sae 2Pin Release Quick Disconnect Plug Extension Cord Solar Panel Maintainer Cable 20A*
br> The wire is covered in a very flexible and "rubbery" material, with solid ring connectors on each wire to connect to the battery posts. They also included a cap for the SAE connector to protect the ends when not in use, which I appreciate. br>br> I'm using it to connect a 12V lithium battery to a solar charge controller, and it's working great. To handle high amperage power, the wire is thick (12 gauge). This cable comes with a 20A inline fuse. I haven't used it for more than 10A, but it never gets warm to the touch.
These pigtails make life a whole lot easier. They're installed on my UTV and motorcycle so that when they're not in use, they can run on battery maintainers. Using clips instead of removing the battery covers is SO much easier. When not in use, simply plug it in, and when it's time to leave, simply unplug it. br>The wire is of good quality, as are the terminals. It was a lot easier than buying the parts and crimping everything together myself.
A couple of wires and a connector don't leave much to the imagination. It's a good piece, and it's a lot better than the crappy connector that came with the battery box. . . but there's something to be said about a couple of wires and a connector, don't you think? IT WORKS! br>Helpful? br>Recommended? 👇🏽.
This cable is quite nice. The wire can be bent. br>br>While four feet is more than most people require, it is probably preferable to being too short.
This was purchased so that I could connect a battery tender to the battery on my Honda Grom. It has proven to be effective.
Wire gauge is adequate and the connectors are of good quality.
I wired this up to my Jeep's battery and ran it behind the passenger-side headlight. It allows me to connect my Battery Tender to it without having to open the hood during long periods of downtime. I needed a heavy gauge wire that was the perfect length and had a SAE connection so that I could connect different chargers and maintainers to it. It's also a good value. Edit. It wasn't a big deal, but the small vinyl/rubber strap connecting the protective cover to the SAE connector snapped while I was trying to uncover it. I'm not sure how I'll reattach it, but at the very least I'll have it and be able to cover the connector if necessary.
