In a nutshell, This set of lights is perfect for my car! Even so, I did have to return one of the lights since two of the LEDs were burnt out however, I've bought a number of XPrite lamps and enjoyed them all. It is a bright light during the day, and it is even brighter at night!.

I am posting on behalf of my wife. As part of my patrol unit's lights, I purchased this light to complement the others. It comes with a variety of flash patterns that I really like. This is not a high end unit, so we find that it doesn't make use of the heavy duty plastic you'll find on top-of-the-line models. When I got back into my car after leaving it in my car for 3 days, I saw that the shield around the light had warped because of the heat. The light was no longer useful at that point. When I informed the manufacturer of the issue, they sent me a new shield (the light produced no problems). Additionally, they sent me a complete lighting kit at no charge for replacement of the shield. sincerely apologized for what happened and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. The only advice I can give is that if you live in a southern climate, don't leave the light on for long periods of time. You can take it out just like that. This is a five star product for me. I think it is a great lamp at its price and for its manufacturer. The product is backed by their support.

Even in daylight, the lights are extremely bright for a device of this size. when the light is mounted near the top of the windshield, the cord is long enough to reach around the top of the windshield, down the passenger A pillar, and back to the cigarette lighter on the top of my dashboard, so it doesn't hang in my field of vision. It has stuck on the streets of Chicago without any issue for days in my truck due to its extremely strong suction cup. Despite being made of relatively thin plastic, I don't think that is an issue. I had a metal housing on my last light, and since it scratched my windshield and bent when I stuffed it under my seats, I'm glad I'm switching to As well as pulling the suction cups off the windshield due to its weight, the old metal light kept destabilizing them. Let's begin with the positive. Bright light like this is visible for a long time. Even in daylight, we managed to move traffic without any problem. I couldn't comment on its long-term performance for the week I had it, so I can't comment on that aspect.

Unfortunately, it didn't hold up over the long-term for me. I just don't trust the quality of this light. One review noted that the product melted and warped within a few hours of being in a car that was hot, with exterior temperatures of On the second day, with a temperature of 90 degrees, it warped even more so the clips that hold the light into the hood/light shroud failed, allowing it to slip free of the sleeve. It also incline slightly upward. Even with temperatures of 85, it warped more on the third day, so I decided to return it. Weak polymer used led to warping, which is why it is so thin.

Other notes on the document. I never experienced overheating with the plug, a point that someone else brought up. No issue for me on that front as I had it plugged in the entire time. The cord is long, I didn't measure it but I'd guess that it's about 7 to 8 inches in length The height may be 8 feet. ) but I used industrial Velcro to secure it to the dash and it fit in well until the warping started occurring. Although I gave it two stars due to its cost, the fact that it worked well electronically, and the fact that it was bright, I still gave it two stars. The only benefit that I can imagine it would have is if you lived in a cold climate all year long. As a summer person in NY, that wasn't enough, so southern climates would also not be a good fit unless one parks in the shade all the time. As I mentioned above, I returned the light and bought a smaller, more affordable light here for 50$ that is also just as bright even though only 4 large LED's are used. Five reviews were available on that one, so I took the chance and was blown away. My suspicion is that it is not permissible for me to post the brand on another product review, but I think you'll be able to figure it out if you read the details.
