12 AAA batteries are required (battery not included). Please keep in mind that batteries should be replaced every few months.
Solid Case: A sturdy and portable storage case can help you save a lot of space in your car.
It has a variety of uses, including traffic control, warning lights, rescue beacons, and other emergency situations.

Questions & Answers

Are the black bases, like those found in some safety triangle kits, heavyweight? They appear to be easily blown over by even a light breeze. ?

They don't weigh a lot. I doubt they'd be blown over by passing traffic, but I haven't tried it. The magnet has a strong magnetic field.

Is it possible for them to use rechargeable batteries?

I suppose you could give it a shot. That is something I have not tried yet, but it seems like a good idea.

How do these hold up during the day? Is the light still visible or has it been washed out?

They are not the brightest, but they are sufficient for the day depending on the intended use.

The product is fantastic!   The products are excellent; I just received them and tested them; they all functioned properly, with the exception of one set of batteries that was sent with the items being dead; however, I had extras, so that was not a problem

Emergency Lighting that is Bright – Batteries that are no longer functional
3/5

These lights don't appear to be made of high-quality materials, but they're bright (the red light, not the flashlight), and the small cases make them easy to tuck away in your car. The batteries that come with this item are ineffective. The lights came with six batteries, all of which were dead or damaged and leaking.

There are several companies selling these; choose the cheapest one because they are all manufactured by the same company
5/5

Excellent product, with well-functioning bases and lights that can be used in three different ways. The first is a red strobe light, and the second is a white flashlight light. The flashlight functions properly but isn't particularly bright; however, it is bright enough to see around and perform car repairs. Some reviews stated that the batteries were dead; however, mine work fine, and I purchased two so that I would have four. As a backup, I'll purchase a two-pack of real road flares. Your car will benefit from the magnets. The containers are well-made. There appear to be several people selling these under various names, but after doing some research, I believe they are all made by the same company, who then slap their logo on the center of the case. Buying the cheapest ones, in my opinion, is the best option.

Every vehicle needs a set of battery-operated red flashing flares
5/5

I pull over to assist tow truck drivers, and the amber flashing lights on my truck really brighten the area. Tow truck drivers are on the road with their backs to traffic, so I act as their eyes. This is the first time in three years that a car traveling at 60 mph did not slow down and move over, and she collided with a tow truck while traveling at 60 mph. I ordered two sets of flares that night when I got home. Vehicles will slow down as a result of the flashing red lights. I can have two on the ground and two in my hands at any given time. I believe the accident could have been avoided if I had these that night. I attempted to photograph them, but it did not turn out.

LED roadside flares in the 'disc/puck' style provide better visibility
5/5

More visible than LED emergency flares in the puck/disc style. br>br>For the past two years, I've owned a set of Wagan FRED (Flashing Roadside Emergency Disc) 'hockey puck' style lights. This has been going on for three years. I haven't had to use them yet, but I've given them a 3-star rating. I gave my neighbors pack sets as gifts, and they just used them to change a flat on the side of a busy highway. They reported that the Wagan FRED lights worked well, despite the fact that they only used the magnetic bases to attach them to the sides and back of the vehicle, and that other motorists moved a lane over when they saw the flashing lights approaching. br>br>I recently saw the listing for these Twinkle Star LED flares and was curious to see how the design compared, so I ordered a set (they appear to be a generic design, sold under various names, but apart from the label, they look identical). This Twinkle Star Amazon listing for $29 for two pairs was available at the time of purchase. When compared to other listings for one pair for around $25, 99 was nearly half the price. These flares come boxed in pairs, with two flares and two stands in their own hard case (with this listing consisting of two cases with four total flares). br>br>Upon delivery, I installed the included batteries and both pairs worked just fine with no issues. Many vehicles have pockets behind the seats where the cases can be stowed. br>br>To turn them on and cycle through the modes (flashing red, constant On red, constant On white flashlight, Off), all you have to do is press a single button. br>br>I strobed one pair of these and one pair of Wagan FRED lights on the pavement, then walked down the street to see which was more visible from a distance. br>br>THE WINNER IS: br>br>THE WINNER IS: br LED flares in the shape of Twinkle Star. They flash a bright red that is brighter and more visible from afar than the Wagan FRED lights, and their height helps with visibility. These flares' tops glow a bright red, but they also light up the ground around them, just like puck style lights. br>br>Overall, they were far more visible than the Wagan FRED lights from a distance. br>br>Another consideration for those in the snowbelt: when it's snowing hard and/or there's already snow accumulation on the ground, this design, which has these sticking up 8" above the ground when placed in the included stands, is a clear advantage for visibility over the pucks, which are only 2" high when set on the ground. br>br>I'm not sure how weather/waterproof either design is, but the flares' base when placed in the stands is 1. 7 inches above ground level, i. e. If there was any danger of standing water, the puck flares would be mostly submerged. br>br>The bottom of these flares also has a fairly strong magnet on it (which is how they stick/attach to the stands), which means you can attach them to the body or roof of a stranded standard steel bodied vehicle (not so much for the carbon fiber or aluminum exotics), or even use the magnets to attach them to metal guardrails and mile markers for added height, etc. br>br>Since I already have the Wagan FRED lights, they These are the ones I'd pick if I had to choose. P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>br>P. br>As with any piece of electronic equipment I consider important (relying on these to keep inattentive drivers from turning me into road pizza qualifies), I strongly advise ditching the included batteries and replacing them with Energizer Lithium Ultimate AAAs (each flare uses 3xAAA batteries). The Lithium Ultimates will not leak and render these useless when they are needed, and they will work down to - Alkalines don't work well below about 15 degrees Fahrenheit, so it's best to keep the temperature above 40 degrees Fahrenheit. br>br>For the past three years, the Wagan FRED lights have been powered by the same Lithium Ultimate batteries, which have been left in the vehicle in temperatures ranging from 110 degrees Fahrenheit to minus 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I'll post an update in about a year because I'll be testing these to see if there's any parasitic drain that could cause the Lithium Ultimate batteries to be drained flat when left in them. br>br>I'll post an update in about a year because I'll be testing these to see if there's any parasitic drain that could cause the Lithium Ultimate batteries to be drained flat when left in them.

This is a fantastic offer
4/5

The four-pack of road flares is available for purchase. There are two of them in each case. I removed them and inserted the included AAA batteries. They blink, stay steady, and emit a white light. At night, having road flares is almost a necessity, and having LED road flares ensures that it is the safest method of use for anyone. Because I'm a picky person, I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. I like the reflective tape, but I think a few more LEDs on the shaft would be better. The detached base is plastic, and the flares are magnetic and easy to pop in; however, they appear to be fragile. Just remember to check your batteries once a year, as I believe they should be ready to go; failing to do so may result in further problems down the road. Every car should have road flares for emergencies, and these are bright, easy to use, and good value for money. It's best to get them above the road in places where there's a lot of snow, so they can beat out the flat ones.

Battery-operated road flares are a great idea
5/5

I immediately replaced the included batteries with brand name batteries, so I can't comment on those, but the lights themselves are bright red and easily visible. It's preferable to having genuine road flares in the car. My wife and I also use them when backing up our Airstream at night because the two-way radio allows us to see and hear her. ways. br>At the moment, I have two sets in each vehicle.
