It appears to be of good quality and is simple to set up. FRAUDULENT ADVERTISEMENT: br>br>FRAUDULENT ADVERTISEMENT: br>br>FALSE ADVERTISEMENT br>I have a 2003 Road King (100th Anniversary), and the outside ring of LEDs did not stay on as running lights (as advertised) after I installed these. Your entire turn signal will be turned off (whether or not it is running) and will flash red as a turn signal or bright red when the brakes are applied. These lights are quite nice and work perfectly if you don't mind the outside ring for running lights. However, I purchased them for the ability to run lights, which they do not have. br>br>SERVICE TO THE CUSTOMER: br>I attempted to contact the seller about my problem, but he did not respond. A few days later, I sent him another email informing him that I would need to return these, and he responded. The owner appears to have no knowledge of this item, as his response was "did you wire it correctly?" There's no need to wire anything because it's already done. It's plug-and-play once it's been wired. He demanded that I take a photo and send it to him after I explained what the light wasn't doing. This is absurd because why would you need a picture of a light that isn't on? What could he be seeing in the photo that I didn't mention in my email? As a result, I'll need to send a third email to follow up. He says he'll speak with his colleague and call me back. He didn't follow up after that, which was 5 days ago. I've had it with the items and will be returning them. RECAP: RECAP: RECAP: RECAP: RECAP: RECAP: RECAP: RECAP I would give these a 5-star rating if they weren't advertised as being able to use the outer ring for running lights. They get a five-star rating because they work well with this limited skill set and have a nice appearance (they're very bright). However, they should not be $40, but rather $25 or $30. Because the product did not work as advertised (no running lights), the review was docked two stars. Because of the poor customer service, it loses a third star.
Okay, so I don't usually write reviews. They, on the other hand, undersold these lights. When they're not yellow as turn signals, they're extra forward facing White LEDsbr>br>Fit my 2013 Tri-Star In just 5 minutes, you'll be gliding through the air. br>br>I'll let you know if anything goes wrong.
The lights are in good working order and were relatively simple to set up. They include a mounting ring to which the LED panel is adhered with 3M tape. To get them to fit on the stock HD lenses, you'll have to fiddle with the ring a little. It only took a few minutes with a file to widen the notches in the mounting ring so that they would fit around the screws. It's incredibly simple to do, and the cost savings over some of the more well-known brands is well worth it.
They appear to be quite appealing - The brightness is comparable to the OEM bulb that I replaced, so they aren't as bright as other bulbs on the market, but they work and look great for the money. I would suggest it. Advantages: br>br> br>Plug and Playbr>Excellent look over stockbr>Very affordablebr>br>Cons: br>Not as bright as competitors (brightness is the same as OEM bulb)br>Fitment - It takes a few attempts to get them in so that the lens is flat.
It took me about 5 minutes to complete this task. Keep in mind that stock lens covers, like mine, are likely to be yellow. To make the white running light LEDs shine more brightly, you'll want to get the clear or smoke lens covers. Yellow light is produced by the blinking LEDs in this kit. This kit does not include any lens covers.
They appear to be attractive, but they do not fit well. If you turn on your hazards and let them run for a few minutes, newer bikes can "learn," but older bikes will need a load stabilizer to avoid hyperflash. When your bike thinks a bulb is burned out, it will start flashing erratically. It's not worth the money if you need a load stabilizer.
There are so many lights to choose from that it can be difficult to figure out which ones are right for you. If your Harley has flat-style headlights, these will fit in the front. Look at your lights closely; there should be two screws on the front side of your lights. These will work with your existing covers and lights; all you have to do is replace the bulb.
I bought a load Eq and it still didn't work because the amber stayed on. This went on for days, with various suggestions for how to resolve the situation. Finally, I assumed it was a bad light, but after reading a review on a similar led by Custom Dynamic, I decided to double-check the socket housing. BAM! As soon as I did that and plugged back in, everything went back to normal. These are fantastic for the price, and I've already placed an order for one for the back. My 13 king didn't require any load eq. Here's a comparison of the before and after shots.
