Oct 2021: Water was found in the 1999 Silverado lighting assembly on both sides, and the running light bulbs were blown. On the back side of both old and new assemblies, there is a small [about 1/16"] vent hole that is covered with plastic/cloth [to keep water out and/or allow for venting]. br>br>Apply silicone to rubber washers [three on each side] to help seal any gaps where water could enter. If water or moisture collects inside the assembly, only time will tell. br>br>There are no flaws in the Dorman unit. A surface that is both clear and scratched Snapping the units into place was a breeze. br>br>Update for November 2021: Even though the vehicle hasn't been washed for three weeks, the driver's side unit has a lot of moisture inside. There has been no moisture on the passenger side. I'm returning the driver's side unit and will be replaced with the same [Dorman] unit I'm returning.

Like the product; good value for money; however, it requires assistance around the entire edge; seal with clear silicone (at your expense); and it may leak immediately or in the future. , if it hasn't already been sealed. The appearance of the front of the vehicle after installation improves 100%, so go ahead and replace both at the same time and match it is worth it. br>It takes longer to seal the edges than it does to install them.
I ordered this lower turn signal replacement after the lower one filled with water and ruined the inside of my car after I bought a full set of replacement lights. So far, everything has gone well. It was simple to put together and looks fantastic.
Water inside after one trip to the touchless car wash, which was of poor quality. I thought I'd be getting lenses from the same manufacturer if I bought the passenger side from another that was also marked as "Dorman" brand. This is not the case. This one is a waste of money for the driver's side. It appears to be fine until you get it wet.
Never buy again, the clip has broken every time I have to replace a light bulb, that's number 2, going back to stock lenses, hardly touched it and fell off, never buy again, first one broke, didn't think much about it, but a month later had to replace bulb and touched clip and it fell off that easily DO NOT BUY!.
With only minor alterations, it is simple to install and fit. For the money, this is a fantastic purchase. It's the same color on both sides!.
Although it appears to be of good quality, has a perfect fit, and is simple to install, I was not prepared to deal with the fact that I would have to run a bead of 10 100% silicone around the unit because it is not factory sealed.
