This was bought for a Silverado from the year 2000. I'm not certain, but I believe this applies to all Silverados and Tahoes built between 2000 and 2003 or 2004. I'm not sure if I'm right this time. I hope you find this information useful.
They're amber plastic pieces that have been molded into shapes.
I'm not sure, but I think I used them on a Tahoe in 2002.

First and foremost, for $20, I am content and confident in my ability to complete this task. Buyer beware: I used this on a 2002 Silverado 1500 (which is clearly listed as compatible) and it fits and installs perfectly, with the exception of one minor but critical detail that you don't notice until you're installing your bulbs. The keying lugs on the turn signal bulb socket (middle bulb for the assembly) are cut out at an angle of 180 degrees. The bulb will still install and the light assembly will fit in the truck, but after a few bumpy roads and enough highway vibration, the bulb will most likely fall out due to the inability to lock the socket/bulb in place due to the bulb socket not being able to be put in properly. As I previously stated, this is a minor detail that is nonetheless significant. My previous assembly was prone to water intrusion during rainstorms, so I'm satisfied as long as this one does not. I'll just use some RTV or silicone sealant to cover the factory's incorrect design. I'll dab it on both the bulb socket and the light assembly in the hopes that it will keep the bulb socket from vibrating out of the assembly?.
Every time it rains, the right side of the house fills with water. Not on the left side. It appeared to be in good shape - The second day, I filled it up with water. I blew out all of the water and dried it out, then double-checked all of the bulb seals before reinstalling the light in my truck. The next rainstorm left the light filled with standing water and completely covered in condensation inside; however, the drivers side, which I bought at the same time and installed with the same brand of bulbs, HAS NOT LEAKED AT ALL. This is due to a flaw in the passenger-side light that I received. br>br>They are covered by Amazon's automotive return policy for the duration of the manufacturer's warranty - up to a year. Outside of the first 30 days, they will accept returns and exchanges. You simply need to contact customer service; my replacement is on its way, and I will report back on my findings in this review. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> Upgraded from a two-star to a three-star rating. The new replacement appears to be in good working order and does not appear to be leaking.
These arrived in a very secure box and appeared to be made in the same factory as the original GM fixtures. I saved this brand to my favorites and will use it for the rest of my vehicles when the time comes. NICE WORK!.
It appears to be working properly - When the rainy season arrives in a few months, we'll see if the housing has any leaks. After ordering and replacing both L and R housings on my truck, I discovered that the cheap factory foam gaskets were allowing water into the stock housings, causing the bulbs to short/burn out. When reassembling, make sure to replace the seal, make a better seal, or use silicone goop to keep the water out.
It fits and appears to be the same as the original, which had become fogged and pitted due to road use. This turn signal appears to be OEM and fits perfectly; it was very easy to install, even for a novice like myself. If you need bulbs, avoid auto parts stores and instead go to your local WalMart Super Center, where two packs of clear or amber bulbs will set you back just $5 and change.
It's a good fit and easy to put together. It looks a lot better now. If it holds up and keeps the water out, I'll give it a five-star rating. 01 Silverado.
There isn't much to say except that it was comfortable and inexpensive.
Plastic with a high density. It appears to be of higher quality than the other brand I purchased previously and the brand I was replacing.
