If the seller had included a Reminder in the box, that LEDs are polarity sensitive that they only work when connected a certain way, I would not have spent a lot of time chasing connections that didn't work the first time. I replaced the old lights with the same colored wires, but did not pay attention when I installed the LED lights the first time, and wired only one correctly. It took a while for me to realize the LEDs are diodes which can only conduct We rewired them all the same way as with the correct one and voila, they work. I would say the lights are fine as a whole.
Since I am a big review reader, I decided to give these lights a try for my camper, and another product too. Installation is a breeze and I was surprised to find that the LED lights under the covers are the same color as the cover. This is great if one comes off or breaks and you will still see the correct shade. The lights are BRIGHT, and visibility is important to me as a truck driver. It has been running smoothly for a long time now, and I have had no issues since I received and installed them as soon as I received.
With a little knowledge of trailer wiring, this is an easy installation. So far, I have not tested the water resistance or proof. However, there is no sign of a leak. Whenever you upgrade trailer lighting, I highly recommend it. It might be an issue on a box trailer due to the lack of space for plugs behind the light.
There were a few extra holes to drill to run the wires (the old ones had different locations for wiring), but otherwise it was an easy installation. This is a nice and bright day. A long-term study will be needed to judge whether it is durable.
My trailer's old lights were replaced with these new lights. I am confident they will work well and seem to be sturdy. I do not know why the wires do not run through the center of the housing, so I may need to drill a new hole, and there are notches in the sides of the housing, which are probably for surface running wires but this is merely more room for water to enter.
A new set of marker lights was installed on my Jayco 2012. The wiring was not too complicated and the installation was very easy. It now has the ability to produce the same brightness as newer models of travel trailers.
It is easy to install and a great replacement light. Replaced the windows which were damaged by the 50 year old camper restoration with new, brighter windows. This is a great outfit.
It could have been a five star review, but the bulbs are not clearly marked. Amber or red are the colors they come in. In addition, after wiring and installing the lights on my vintage camper, we hooked them up to the battery and discovered that the color of the lenses were sometimes in conflict with the color of the lights. To ensure that the files match, test before installing.
