Could this light be used to replace the reverse/ backup light on a 2008 Ford F150?

The brake light in this photo is being replaced. Apparently the description uses strange terminology for the backup light , as backup light is the reverse light, whereas this is the brake light socket, which is different in size, so make sure you don't make the same mistake I made.

Backup lights on my 2005 F250 stopped working and I am having trouble finding replacements. In the connector, the problem was the internal contact. These are the items I found when I did a quick shop. We were able to order the part at a lower price even with a minimum order of $25. We replaced the connectors in both lights in about 15 minutes, and we were able to use them.

The reverse light socket is not to be confused with a reversible In spite of the name, this is not a backup light switch, it is not a reverse light socket

In my truck's case, it is the brake light socket, and the two are not the same size, so take care.
