It turns gray when it dries. Also, if you get it on the trim, it will dry almost white, as it is more of a tint than a color. For a black car with black trim, I have yet to find the ideal wax.
No, I did not make use of one. The best way to buff out the wax is with a good microfiber pad or towel. If you're doing it by hand, the only issue you'll have is figuring out if you've removed all of the wax. When using white wax on a white car, work in smaller sections at a time to ensure you get it all off.
It should work on any light-colored vehicle, in my opinion. It was a white vehicle.
I recommend using a clay bar before waxing your car to keep it looking brand new. Every other wax is fine; the benefits will last long after the car has passed its "new" phase.

My father is the proud owner of a black Cadillac from the year 2003. He's tried other wax, but the results are only average. Check out the outcomes. A word of warning, though: To have adequate coverage, you don't need much. Allow the wax to cure for a while - at the very least 1 hour After 10 minutes, my father made the error of attempting to buff off. Another hour of rubbing was required to achieve a glass-like finish. It would have been a lot easier if he'd just left it alone.
The worst idea Meguiar's could have come up with was to package this wax in a foil tube. It separates very easily during storage, and if you stand it up on the cap or lay it on its side, it WILL leak oil. It's a sure thing. Unlike a plastic tube, it cannot be shaken or remixed by adding more air, nor can it be moved around in the tube by hand. That essentially means you'll use it when you first get it, then become frustrated with the mess and discard it in favor of something better.
I got it in the mail on time, but it was half liquid when I opened it. I'm not sure if it was due to the weather during transportation or if I received a bad batch. Instead of the separated mess that I received, I decided to combine the contents and allow it to turn into an actual "paste. " I used it on a freshly clayed and polished black finish with no scratches, let it set for a few minutes, then buffed it off with a microfiber towel. The car looked exactly the same as it did before I started, which surprised me. Water does not bead off like it does when I use a traditional and less expensive paste wax from a can, so the water resistance is minimal. Meguiars usually produces excellent products, so I was disappointed.
This wax is of excellent quality. It went on smoothly and easily buffed off once it had dried to a haze. I can't say it completely concealed any chips or scratches, but because the wax started out dark (almost black), it didn't dry as white as other waxes. Because of this, my car finish now has a darker, richer shine than other light color car waxes I've used in the past, and I can recommend this wax to anyone looking for a dark, rich shine on a dark color car. If you want to hide chips and scratches, touch-up paint is the way to go. Because this wax does not act as a filler, it is necessary to remove paint and correct the problem.
For a few years, I had been using Meguiars Paste Wax until I discovered this black wax. The Black Wax is the simplest to use, and it can be removed in as little as 15 minutes. Depending on the weather, it may take up to 30 minutes to cure. In my case, with the hot weather and the middle of the year, It takes about 25 minutes when there is a lot of humidity. br>br>Here are a few pointers on how to use the Black Wax: br>1) If you have the time, I strongly advise you to take a clay bar pass (it's a 15-minute ride). After that, do a quick polishing pass (this is a 30-minute job). Work for 40 minutes (don't let the polish dry) by hand or with a polisher (preferred method). As a result, a contaminant-infested environment will emerge. 2) apply a light uniform coat of Black Wax with a smooth applicator (the Meguiars applicator pads are not the best; instead, I use the Chemical Guys MIC_292_08 Premium Grade Microfiber Applicators - worth the effort). (Believe me, there is a big difference. ) br>3) Allow 30 minutes for the Wax to cure before removing it with a microfiber tower. br>br>I normally apply this wax every two months, as that is how long it lasts in Texas weather.
I completely agree that the wax inside a toothpaste-style tube isn't ideal. I'm not sure why it's in there at all, and it's awkward because it crumbles because it's aluminum, thin, and wrinkles easily. br>br>Apart from that, the product itself is excellent. I'd never heard of black wax before, so I looked it up on Amazon and found it for a lower price than most. The wax itself is gray in color and applies and wipes off like any other wax. br>br>Pictures of my 2008 Acura TSX are attached. For its age, the paint is in better shape than most. This wax, in my opinion, has a mirror-like finish and appears to be newer than it is. I'm sure it would look even better if the car had been polished first. br>br>I applied the wax by hand, which took about 40 minutes in total. Not bad for the money; I'll probably buy it again or try something else.
This is a delicate wax that works wonders for rehydrating clearcoat that has become dry. A topper, such as Ultimate Wax or Turtle Wax Ice, will be required. A shot of Quickwax spray can also help to protect Blackwax's healing properties. It was used in conjunction with a micro-fibre cloth. On a 16-year-old BMW with a dark blue metallic finish, a fiber pad drill DA was used. It has a very liquid mercuric look to it. Working it can remove minor swirl marks, scratches, and even the noxious haze that Ultimate Compound and Polish left behind (give UC and UP to someone who has hard paint). The oils are absorbed by a dryish clearcoat. A topper, such as Ultimate Wax or Turtle Wax Ice, will be required. A shot of Quickwax spray can also help to protect Blackwax's healing properties.
