Questions & Answers
When plastic headlight lenses become cloudy as a result of sun exposure, use this product. When a coating is applied incorrectly, it results in orange peel, which is wrinkling. You could try a small area with 1000 grit wet sandpaper and water to see how it looks- If the oxidation begins to peel away, the kit should be sufficient.
All it took was a little bit of effort. It's that easy. To date, the situation has remained unchanged.

This is a fantastic item. The top photo is my before, and the second photo is my after, as you can see. My headlights still look like the second photo, even though I did it over three weeks ago. I'm blown away. It does take some elbow grease, but it only took me about 30 minutes to complete, and it was well worth it! It's a great product for $10, and I'll definitely buy it again, though I doubt I'll need to do so for a while because it's holding up well!.
The instructions are incorrect, stating that a drill is required. No, just sand with the provided sandpaper and polish with the provided polishing cloth. In 15 minutes, you can complete the task entirely by hand. Use for only one vehicle. But I managed to smuggle in another lamp.
My car is ten years old. The light in the headlight had turned yellow. br>br>This product requires two rounds of sanding. I've tried toothpaste and baking soda with no luck. br>br> The lens will become frosty after sanding, according to the instructions. Even so, after sanding the lens, I thought I'd completely ruined the headlights. Then I finished it off with a clear coat, and wow! What a stark contrast! After the second clear coat, the headlights have a mirror finish. br>br>The headlights appear to be the same as when the car was first introduced to the public. This product altered not only the appearance of the headlights, but also the overall appearance of the vehicle. It was well worth the money! I'm just hoping the application lasts as long as they say it will.
My headlights were fogged in with condensation only three months after buying my brand new car, so I purchased 3M auto restore. that once it got dark, I wouldn't be able to drive. because my lights weren't even bright enough to light up the road Even though it was only a few months after I bought it, the Nissan dealership where I bought it refused to repair the condensation. Everything I could find on how to fix the cloudy headlights, I read. I went on YouTube and watched a dozen videos. Each had a wackier and more complicated way of getting rid of the condensation. Finally, because I needed to drive 4, I decided to take a chance on this 3M Auto Restore. 5 hours in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of nowhere. A far cry from the city lights that used to help me drive at night. "This is too simple," I thought when I first saw the product. "It's cheap, and it comes with everything you need in one box. " As a result, I followed the directions to the letter. My headlights appeared to be brand new in a short period of time. "When did I get the new headlights?" my mother actually inquired. " That's how clear they were, and continue to be. This product is highly recommended for fogged-in, scratchy-looking headlights, which are extremely dangerous to drive in at night. When you need your headlights to be sharp and bright, this is the product to use. In addition, I used it to clean my daughter's prescription glasses. It did a fantastic job of removing the glare barrier. I also used it to cover my water meter cover, which had become unreadable due to condensation on the outside of my home. Because my water bills are so high, I assumed the meter reader wasn't getting an accurate reading.
Okay, it was supposed to take 30 minutes, but it only took me one. Both lights will need to be turned off after 5 hours. If you already own a drill, go ahead and buy the drill one. My headlight was starting to fail, and I had never restored the headlight on my 2012 Civic before. It's just that sanding takes a long time, and mine wasn't even that bad. I should have used less pressure and feathered the clear coat because it was difficult to apply evenly. Why three stars? br>br> While it turned out well, I believe it could have been even better. Perhaps if the clearcoat came with an applicator and was self-leveling, it would be ideal. As you can see in the last photo, there is a slight drip mark and uneven coverage. br>Buy only if you're broke, don't have a drill, and want to save money while still getting decent results.
It was simple to operate. It does take a long time; I spent two hours and did not get the results I desired, but I would try it again and spend more time in the areas that needed it the most.
I started with the first applicator and watched as the yellowish vanished. After using the second applicator, the headlight appeared to be brand new. In addition, it is cost-effective.
I paid $60 to have them restored by a professional detailer. Even back then, they didn't have the best looks. Because new covers were too expensive, I chose this product from the 3M brand. br>I followed the directions exactly as they were written in the brochure and was blown away by the results. I wish I had taken a prior photo to demonstrate the difference. It's been over a month since I used the covers, and they still look brand new. br>This product comes highly recommended!.
